The best feeling: walking into your home after a long day at work or play. I love coming home with the boys after spending the afternoons at the park, the beach or running errands. The comfort of your place and the familiar settings really make it true, there is no place like home!
My husband’s office used to occupy two rooms in the main floor of our house and after moving his office out of the home we had a lot of newly found free space. We have been dreaming about setting up our own gym/exercise room for a while and the new space was perfect so we decided to set up an exercise room and a playroom for the kids at the same time. The playroom is attached to the main larger exercise room and it makes the perfect “safe area” for them to play while we exercise.
Since setting up the exercise room I have been working out daily! We set up a T.V. with WiFi that streams free exercise videos from YouTube. The Internet is filled with free workout series and I am loving the FitnessBlender channel on Youtube, so many fun work-outs. I don’t have any excuses now as the boys can come with me downstairs to play while I workout.
Exercising at home without having to leave the house to go to the gym has been amazing. I love the freedom of being able to work out at anytime of the day and the boys are really enjoying their new playroom. We even use the playroom at other times as well when I am not working out, they love having their bigger toys set up in a separate area and the excitement of a new room to play in. I also love seeing their little heads popping up and saying hi as I workout and they watch from their playroom.
Now, having an exercise room at home used by my husband and I everyday means that windows must be opened everyday. I’m insanely jealous of your workout room right now. It’s my dream to have a beautiful place to work out, yet have it convenient so I can watch what my toddler is up to.

My favourite part of the home is my home office and my backyard because of the pool and deck. But I love what you have done and I truly find I need to run to the gym to schedule in my workouts to make them work for me BUT I think there’s a space downstairs where I could add some workout equipment when we redo the basement (happening soon).
Wow, I like your space! Its great that your own space is next to the kids so you can keep an eye on them. So cute that your baby is looking into your workout space to look at the TV! Too bad I don’t have any spare rooms to get a Makeover.

That’s a very cool set up you have. We’ve always wanted to do that but it never panned out 😛
My favourite room in the house is my library… I love the stacks and rows of books, my art work, my old antique desk and my rug… The toys the boys leave all over the place, my comfortable sofa. Its my sanctuary and the core of my family life.
