The Sea To Sky Gondola is located in Squamish, British Columbia, a short 45 minute drive from Vancouver. The gondola ride is 10 minutes to the top and it gives you access to all to the amazing natural sights of the Howe Sound and its surrounding mountains.
This weekend my husband and I decided to take the kids to Squamish to enjoy the winter wonderland the Sea to Sky has to offer. There hasn’t been any significant snow in Vancouver this season so we thought it would be fun to take the boys to have some white Christmas holiday fun!
We spent most of the day enjoying snowshoeing as a family, playing with the snow and winter walking. We also had a delicious lunch and hot chocolate to warm up, it was our two-year-old’s first hot chocolate EVER and of course he LOVED it!!
The kids had lots of fun playing outdoors and checking out all of the Christmas decorations and they were both so tired that they ended up falling asleep in the car and sleeping all the way home. Today was a very successful day of outdoor fun and we really enjoyed the crisp winter air!
Below are some fun photos from our visit, it is SO beautiful up there friends!

Winter activities like this are the best.
I can see that you all had a lot of fun visiting the sea to sky gondola and the lookout point. That hot chocolate and fries would have been very welcome afterwards too no doubt 🙂
Look at all that snow! wish we have some for Christmas. Looks like everyone had a blast 🙂
I’ve been on a gondola a couple years ago when my best friend came to visit from Ontario – we spent one very fun day in Whistler and took that gondola ride and had lunch up top. It was so fun and memorable! I’ve driven by the Sea to Sky gondola and always wanted to do it but haven’t had a chance yet. It’s on my bucket list!!!!
We are really wanting to do the tubing and snowshoeing here! I’m sorry that we did not make it for the Spirit of Christmas events though.
We visited in the summer. Will have to put it on our list to try this in the winter.
I ove all the smiling faces….making great memories
I’m so dreading the snow but the gondola looks like a fun activity to do in the winter

Beautiful pics of you & the family in Whistler, the scenery is spectacular! We don’t have any snow in southern Ontario yet, but hear that it’s on the way.
