My 3-year-old’s schedule is filled with lots of free-play and creative-play time. At his age I believe in the importance of allowing him that time for unstructured play for him to develop his creativity and imagination.
During his unstructured play time he loves playing with his toys in his room and I usually hear him creating imaginary stories and using his Little People® characters, animals and dinosaurs as main characters in his play sets. We have the Little People® Animal Sounds farm and he loves playing with it. It is funny to hear the voice changes for each character and how they all have their own personality, likes and dislikes.
Sometimes the characters turn into people from his everyday life and they end up being Mommy, Daddy, a friend, his teacher, etc. Some other days they are pirates, fire-fighters, super-heros and more imaginary people. I love when he invites me to play with him and he gives me one of the little characters and explains who they are.
We received a set of the newest Fisher-Price’s Little People® characters including Eddie, Mia, Sofie, Tessa and Koby. Lately he identifies himself with one of Little People® characters in particular. He loves playing with “Koby” during his imaginative play because Koby loves dinosaurs and he is a silly little boy just like my son. His favourite video below:

We love Little People toys! On this years list
I love anything from Fisher Price, it’s super quality – lasted through my 7 children and was then passed on and some of I bought 2nd hand. Children also love loving with it and letting their imagination run wild, hours of fun.
I have a special fondness for Fisher Price toys. I had a set when I was a kid and enjoyed playing with them all of the time. It’s so great to let kids’ imaginations run wild and be creative with these figurines.
That’ts so adorable. Currently, my son likes to copy my younger brother and that includes playing with ninja turtles and reading his books. He will make sounds as he turns the pages.
