We recently received two headbands from Headbands of Hope to wear and review. Headbands of Hope is an American-made line of colorful and trendy headbands. For every headband purchased one is given to a little girl with cancer and $1 is donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to fund much needed childhood cancer research. Fashion for a cause – what is better than that?
I have a confession: I have a cone head. As in I put a headband on and within seconds it is slinking off the back of my head. Okay, so maybe my head isn’t exactly conical, it may just be that my hair is fine and has zero body. Either way, as a little girl, I viewed my inability to successfully wear a headband as a tragic condition that nearly ruined my third grade. Of course, this is nothing compared to childhood cancer. NOTHING.
Receiving these headbands and reading the story of the good Headbands of Hope does for little girls with the truly tragic condition of childhood cancer makes me feel foolish for complaining about something so petty as fine hair. At least I had hair. I’m also grateful that my two daughters are healthy, and that my toddler has a gorgeous head of hair to sport these adorable headbands.
We received two simple, but stylish bands – one sparkly silver, the other pink and white striped. The design of the bands is smart with no visible seams or sharp teeth. They look good with casualwear, or with a dress. And I love the versatility of how the bands can be worn and, of course, I applaud the commitment behind the organization making them. If you’re going to buy headbands for your daughter, why not buy them from an organization that does some good?

Great cause! I’ll check out their site, thanks!
These look cute! Do they fit adults too?
Rebecca, the bands absolutely DO fit adult heads. The elastic is soft so they can expand quite a bit.
What a wonderful company and and campaign. It makes me wish that I had some little girls in my life to buy some for. You are right, it takes something like this to make us realize how silly we are for complaining. Thank you for the info about them.
beautiful! and what a great cause.
Love the concept, and any ways to raise awareness and money for cancer research.
