Also, whether you’re considering adding a furry pal to your household or already own a few, Pets Plus Us shares a few things to consider when selecting the right insurance plan:
- Your pet’s species – Both cats and dogs need regular veterinarian care and can experience medical issues or accidents.
- Your pet’s breed – There may be medical conditions associated with your pet’s breed. Knowing this can help you prepare for future medical needs.
- Your financial resources – Your ability to proactively save and be diligent about keeping up aside funds for care related to illnesses and unexpected medical situations should be considered.
- Your ability to pay for routine vet care – Consider the financial requirements to pay for the routine care your pet will need. As well, consider any previous medical issues your pet might have that may require ongoing care.

We really do need pet insurance!
Wow, I had no idea how much pets actually cost (minimally) and that dogs are so much more expensive then cats… That’s GREAT info. I’ve been considering getting a pet, but may stick to my fighting fish a little while longer. Thanks.
I did know you could get pet insurance. I think it is wise decision.
Great info for pet owners! People need to be more aware, I think they can get sucked in easily when they see pets especially puppies, and they don’t think about all the costs involved. Thanks for sharing!
I really think i should look into pet insurance as well .. it is a great idea 🙂 thanks for sharing 🙂
Animalls are expensive but worth ever cent..insurance is a good move
Thanks for this, great info for pet owner
It really is expensive to have a dog or a cat and that’s before they get ill! If they need an operation for something it costs a small fortune. I’d love to have a dog but can’t afford it as I’d also want the insurance to have peace of mind too.
