We are in the middle of Spring Cleaning over at our house, switching some rooms, rearranging furniture, cleaning our closets and getting rid of things we don’t need. I have already taken a handful of bags of clothing and toys to be donated.
My preschooler’s room was packed with books and toys that needed to be sorted and cleaned and I was looking forward to organizing everything.
I decided to get my son involved with the cleaning and we tackled his room this yesterday. It was difficult at times to sort toys into the “donate” bag because he wanted to keep them all but we compromised.
Cleaning his room also meant finding old toys that were buried at the bottom of his toy bins and that was exciting for him. He found toys he didn’t even remember he owned.
After all of the cleaning we decided it was time for an evening bath. We haven’t done evening baths with my oldest since he was 2-years-old because we switched them to morning baths but he loved it. A relaxing way to end the day after all of his hard work, also perfect time to try out our new Kandoo Simply Suds Bubble Bath.
The Kandoo Bubble Bath is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates and other harsh chemicals and it is perfect for little one’s delicate skin as it prevents drying and helps skin maintain its natural moisture. My son loved the fun long lasting bubbles to play with and the yummy tropical smoothy scent. A long relaxing bath for my sweet little helper.
Do you get your children involved in Spring Cleaning?

I always get my kids to help with house cleaning from an early age. Even if it’s healping with laundry, dusting, something light but great way to get them involved.
Always get the kids involved for sure!
Yes, important to get them involved early!!!
ugh spring cleaning… we do try to get them involved. We try to make it sort of like a game, it seems to be working pretty well so far
Spring cleaning, I dread it! But it needs to be done! We spend a lot of time outside once the weather gets nice so this is the perfect time to go through everything!
I think it’s important to get them to start doing chores at an early age. It teaches them responsibility, life skills and also discipline.
It is definitely important that children learn to clean and tidy up their messes at an early age. It does them no good if mum does it all the time, even if often it is quicker and easier for the mother. Children actually like being helpful when they are young, so this is the time for them to learn to help out. When they have to tidy up themselves it also often lessens the chaos too.
I think it’s really important that kids are part of not just spring cleaning, but also every day cleaning. Kids love helping and I think when they help it makes them feel like they are doing something great and they feel so proud of themselves. It also makes my life easier … I don’t have to always pick up after them!
When my boy was younger, he would help a bit. But it was waaaay more easy to get done if he was out. He wouldn’t part with anything.
Everyday cleaning, he was beyond great with helping out. But major cleaning up/cleaning out was best done on my own.
I love doing spring after a long closed up winter
I like spring cleaning the kids room…out with the old and non-used since the Christman rush came in and into the donation bags
