Last weekend we had the fantastic opportunity to fly to Toronto to the Treehouse Big Day Out event featuring special guest, the Wiggles thanks to HP Canada. We found out we were selected for this experience just two days before the trip and after some crazy last minute packing and scheduling changes we made it to Toronto. It was our youngest son’s first flight and our first trip to Toronto as a family of four.
Last time we were in Toronto was about 3 years ago so it was nice to get a chance to visit the city again. We stayed at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre hotel and it was wonderful to be right downtown. A fantastic hotel and very friendly staffed. Great service too! We requested a bassinet for our infant and they also brought a nice box of baby toiletries and a cute little rubber ducky to use and take home. The hotel’s restaurant was also fabulous, their pancakes were to die for!
The hotel is located next door to the Eaton Centre and having a mall a few steps away is great when you are traveling with young children. The Eaton Centre is very large too, nothing like the Pacific Centre downtown Vancouver though, the Eaton Centre is actually the largest mall in Toronto.
After settling in our hotel we attended the Treehouse Big Day Out event on Saturday afternoon and we had a chance to stop by the HP activation booth. They had a super cool red car replica of the car that appears in the”Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car” Wiggle’s video. There was a green screen in the background and you could record a video while visiting the booth. The video recording was then available online for you to share with friends and family! Both my children did a video and loved it.
Here’s the video of the one we did with our youngest.
They also had a couple of tables set up with some cool Printables like the ones I used with my son here for colouring and some other fun games for little ones. Overall a super fun experience for families at the event.
We had a chance to visit some other booths and then headed to the main act, The Wiggles. I must confess I was not very familiar with the Wiggles before this trip but after attending their show I am a new fan! They had a full house of excited children and adults singing along to all their songs. Some big fans as well. Our oldest really enjoyed the performance and had a chance to take some photos with some members.
We had a lovely afternoon and returned to the hotel with two very happy and exhausted little ones. Perfect for bed time! Special thanks to HP Canada and the PR event coordinator who made it all happen and allowed us to experience this wonderful event and the opportunity to travel to Toronto. We had a great weekend!
Disclosure: HP Canada provided us with an all expenses paid trip to Toronto to attend the Treehouse Big Day Out event. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
