Nerf has put out a great line of Rebelle products that are to represent strength and power. It is a line of products that is geared towards girls. The Nerf Rebelle Dolphina Bow Blaster is a great, easy to use water bow… yes bow, it’s not your usual water gun.

Most likely Nerf got its inspiration from the recent heroines in different stories who have incredible skills when it comes to using bows; this is something that is sure to get the attention of girls who have read these stories. I much prefer the colours to in the Rebelle line of toys than the usual Nerf products. Being mostly teal blue and white, with some fuchsia, it’s easier on the eyes than the classic black and orange I grew up with.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much water it did hold at 25oz, and how long it lasted in a water fight. While it does not hold as much as bigger water guns, it does hold its own because it is very easy to refill when needed. You just have to twist open one little cap, fill from a tap or hose, and twist the cap back into place. The one thing that did surprise me was that in order to spray water at someone you just have to pull back on the handle. While similar to how you would pull back on a bow with an arrow ready to aim, I was expecting to have to push the handle in to be able to spray. This is actually a great feature as it makes it very easy to get your target while on the run, and makes it  easy for younger kids to use.

I am definitely looking forward to the summer with my daughter, and being able to have water fights with her. I am going to have to get a second one of these for in our household so that we can have lots of water fights when the hot summer weather hits.
