personalized jewelry

I have been wanting to do a piece of family name jewelry for a long while.  I have other sentimental pieces of jewelry but not a personalized item. It was about time I added this mommy staple to my wardrobe!

I was offered any item from Centime Gifts and I was like a kid in a candy store browsing their website.  I could have chosen any number of their pieces.  At first I really was drawn to the Monogram Bracelet in the gold tone.  The curly script monogram is elegant and the bangle style bracelet gave it a modern feel.  Available in four sizes from child to adult it would make a perfect gift for a special friend or an important birthday.  It would be equally charming for a 16th or a 50th birthday.  I would even suggest it as a bridesmaid gift because it is understatedly elegant AND it is really reasonably priced.

As gorgeous as the bracelet was I knew what I really wanted was a necklace with all the names of our family.  I decided on the Russian Ring Necklace with four rings, one for myself, hubby, and our boys.  I chose the the 22 inch length chain after consulting the helpful guide Select The Right Necklace Length.  I decided on  this longer length which is meant to lay ‘at or just above the top of the bust’ because I wanted to be able to actually read the names while I was wearing it.  It sits beautifully both on top of a shirt or just above my cleavage when I wear a deep v-neck.

I was very hesitant to order a name necklace in the past because my husband’s name is Clint.  So what, right?  Oh it could go so very, very wrong….so I sent along this message

****VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT**** There needs to be adequate spacing between letters OR use of Upper AND Lower case lettering. Clint’s name if spaced too closely together will spell a VERY bad word I DO NOT WANT to wear around my neck.

I was assured that it would be handled with care and attention.  I was still really nervous to open the parcel, but I had no reason to be!  Centime had taken the time to read and respond to my request and they made me a gorgeous, handmade necklace I wear almost daily.  I felt like they really cared about making me happy with my forever piece!  I know that because of the quality workmanship and the classic design I will wear my necklace for years and years.
