We are big fans of baby-wearing and so are our two little ones. Since my littlest is just 6 months, we wear her quite a bit. She absolutely loves to be worn and especially loves to look at the world around her. She will contentedly stay in the carrier for hours as long as she is close to her mama or daddy.
With winter now here, it can be harder to baby-wear due to colder temperatures. This is why I am so excited about the Little Goat 3-Season Baby Carrier Cover we recently received. Not only is it gorgeous, it is incredibly cozy and warm. I really like that it can be used in different types of weather.
The outer layer is made of water-resistant microfibre, so it’s great for cooler or rainy weather, like we’ve been having lately. It’s come in super handy. There is also a hood that can be snapped down and we’ve been able to use this to keep our little one sheltered from any rain. When it’s colder out, we snap in the minkie lining, which is SO incredibly soft and cozy, it makes me wish I had an adult size blanket made out of this material.
Our daughter seems to really enjoy being in it and both my husband and I are easily able to use the cover. So far, we have just used it for front carry as we haven’t yet started wearing her on our backs, but I love that we’ll be able to use this cover for back-carry as well. Because the cover is a good size (there’s a drawstring at the bottom), I know this will really grow with her and we’ll be able to use it for as long as we wear her. We have the Ergobaby® carrier, which is completely compatible with the Little Goat carrier, as is the BabyBjorn® and most other carriers. The other awesome feature about the cover is that it can be used as a stroller cover, too!
We also received 2 sets of their teething pads, which are beautiful! My daughter wanted to play with and chew on them as soon as I took them out of the package! They fit well onto our carrier and they’re great for her little sore teeth, since she is chewing everything in sight right now. The teething covers are made of 3 layers of fabric: an organic cotton outer, a bamboo inner to absorb the moisture, and a waterproof lining to keep carrier straps from getting wet too. I like that they attach with snaps, as velcro can be a real pain some times when it gets stuck to everything, and I find snaps just last longer.
We really just love our new Little Goat carrier cover and I know we are going to get so much use out of it. If you’re looking for an awesome carrier cover that can work in all kinds of weather, I highly recommend this one. Plus, Little Goat is a small family-owned and run Canadian business, which I just love supporting!
The Little Goat 3-Season Baby Carrier Covers are $70 CDN and the Teething Pads $20CDN. You can visit their online shop to order HERE.
