Today I had the pleasure of attending WE Day Vancouver with my six year-old boy. I’ve been to WE Day a couple of times in the past and I was excited to bring my little one to experience it with me for the first time today.

WE DAY

WE Day is a movement of young people leading local and global change. WE Day celebrates and inspires going from me to we.  You can’t buy a ticket to attend WE Day, instead students from across the country earn their tickets by the actions they take on local and global causes of their choice. Throughout the year, these youth are doing so many amazing things and it is so inspiring to see!

WE Day is one of the world’s largest non-profits on social media, with more than five million followers across Canada, the U.S. and U.K. Today in Vancouver there were around 18,000 students and educators in attendance.

Below you can watch some personal clips from our WE Day experience:

This year an extraordinary group of stars an activists took the stage, including Lilly Singh, Olivia Holt, George Takei, Serena Ryder, Jacob Tremblay, Margaret Trudeau, Nico & Vinz, Kardinal Offishall, Monique Coleman, WE Day co-founders, Craig and Marc Kielburger and more. They all shared their passion for change with energizing and unforgettable performances plus inspiring motivational speeches.

WE Day was very inspirational and fun for both my son and I, we had the chance to meet with Craig Kielburger and even take a little backstage behind-the-scenes tour. Once again I applaud the efforts of everyone working and organizing this huge event every year. They are creating social awareness and opportunities for young people to get involved and do something for their own communities on a daily basis.

Can’t wait for next year!
