My family and I go on weekly nature hikes all over our city, we love spending time exploring nature and hiking together. During our walks we make a point to talk to the boys about protecting the environment and making sure to leave everything as we found it. We often pick up garbage we find on the ground and take it to garbage bins and we chat about protecting native plants and species at risk.
We want a great future for our boys and teaching them to care for the environment and to become responsible, caring adults is a priority for us. Threats such as climate change, pollution and habitat loss are affecting the wildlife and wild places worldwide and the solutions to building a healthy future for the planet are up to each one of us.
Caring for the environment also means choosing the products you use at home carefully. We use Tide purclean at home because it is a bio-based detergent free of dyes, chlorine, phosphates or optical brighteners, it is also USDA Certified and made with 100% renewable wind power electricity. If you want to try it you can also get a $2 off coupon on Amazon right now.
Tide has partnered with WWF-Canada to support the “Count For Nature” movement, encouraging Canadians to help wildlife thrive by taking action to benefit nature. Tide is also teaming up with Grammy® Award-winning, Canadian singer-songwriter, and advocate for the environment, Nelly Furtado, to introduce the brand’s new partnership with WWF-Canada, in support of their Count for Nature movement.
Starting on Thursday, November 17, 2016 until Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:59PM EST, every time someone tweets to @Tide, sharing an action they take to help nature, using both #purclean and #CountForNature, Tide will donate $1 to WWF-Canada’s “Count For Nature” program. Tide wants to know the actions YOU take to help the environment.
Find out how you can help nature in your community and “count yourself in” with the growing number of Canadians taking action to protect and restore nature at wwf.ca/countfornature.
