Can TV shows teach values to kids? Nowadays children are constantly exposed to a multitude of media sources, whether at home, school or when they are out of the house. As a result, kid’s television shows and their favourite characters play a big role in helping reinforce life skills and values instilled in the kids at home by parents and caregivers.
Thankfully when turning the TV and browsing on Netflix, there are a variety of great shows to pick from when looking for stories showcasing empathy, patience, respect, etc. Netflix has many shows that are great and that we love to play for our boys when they are allowed to watch TV.

Great cheat sheet and list of shows. My kids are beyond these specific shows, but I know a few others who can make use of it.
I think tv deifnitely can show values good and bad to people. It’s up to one to take what they want from it, but more or less there is an influence.
I do think that TV shows for kids can be used to teach children values, not all of them do so choose carefully. Love the demographics, helps parents find what will support what they are trying to impress on their children.
I agree that shows can be a great reminder of values that our children should hold dear. I like this list from Netflix, Mr. Peabody and Sherman is great.
I think they do nowadays. TV is making intelligence cool instead of nerdy.
