Summer Infant Video Monitor

Our little one started sleeping in his own bedroom when he was about 9 months. It was a relatively easy transition for him but it was difficult for me.

It is hard not to worry and want to check on him every few hours during the night, even more when he started sleeping eleven hours straight. I started using an audio monitor since.

The audio monitor is a great tool for peace of mind but there is nothing like having a device that allows your to hear and SEE your baby without having to enter the room and disturb his sleep.

I always wanted a video monitor so I was really excited to try out the Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor from Summer Infant.

With the Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor I can check and watch my little one sleeping anytime I want. Since he moves a lot while he sleeps I love that the camera zooms in and out and it moves up and down and left to right (I can control it remotely via the monitor).

I placed the camera on top of a cabinet and you can place it on top of any piece of furniture or mount it on the wall.  The package comes with everything you need to mount it to the wall safely.

The monitor is 100% digital, making it secure and private. You can connect up to 4 cameras to it, allowing you to watch baby from multiple angles and in different rooms if necessary.   Some monitors only allow one camera connection so I love having the ability to connect more cameras if needed.

I was very impressed with the size of the handheld monitor and the quality of the image. It is light and small enough to carry around the house easily. You can use the belt clip attached to the unit to carry it as well.  The monitor has a 2.5″ color LCD screen with automatic black and white night vision.   I use the monitor mostly during the night time and I use the black and white night vision the most. I like that I can see my little one with enough detail to ensure he is safe whenever I check on him.

Something I like about the monitor is that it has a rechargeable battery (included), it means I just plug it in to recharge it instead of purchasing and replacing batteries all the time.  It saves you a lot of money in batteries and it is definitively more eco-friendly.

I love that the monitor has up to 400′ range and I can be in the kitchen or any other room in the house and still be able to see him/hear him.
