Did you know that you can teach table manners without nagging and prodding? Golly Gee-pers! offers a unique deck of laminated Table Manner Cards (recommended for ages 4 and up) that turn learning manners into fun.
Each deck of cards has two games that help you address table manners when you are eating with your children. Cards are given out when you are at the table and the person with all thumbs ups cards and no thumbs down cards gets a “Ready to Dine Out” card (thumbs ups for good table manners and thumbs down for bad table manners).
You can see the Table Manner Cards in action in the following video:
All cards are made from 100% recycled materials and they come in a cute little bag made from non-bleached cotton.
I love that the cards have images – we use flash cards a lot with our son – and I have been using them at the table when we eat. I think it is never too early to start teaching him table manner and there is nothing better than doing it in a fun playful way.
I absolutely love this idea and I will continue to use the Table Manners cards with my son. He is a bit young to get the concept of the game right now but he loves looking at the cards and images and he recognizes the thumbs ups and thumbs down with every action.
Children tend to copy a lot of the things we adults do and I also love using the cards as a reminder to set a good example for our son during our family meal times.
Buy it: Purchase your own deck of cards in their website HERE for $12.95 (great as a gift!)

Answer: I think people have no matters nowadays! lol
Kids and adults have no manners these days, I was cussed out by some teensagers at the splash pad a few days ago after refusing to by them smokes…. It’s UNREAL, even adults, it makes me sad
Earlier times! I sound like such an old person but technology has ruined everything! And manners are so much more confusing than they used to be, before it was easy because it was pretty straightforward.
Superbe idea. Would love to win for my daughter. Thank you for the contest
no
Earlier times, although I think there are still people with good manners today, it depends on the individual!
Earlier times. Even my parents were more slack than my grandparents. When I went to my grandfathers home (in England) I had to wear dresses when we went out and I better know how to act appropriately or I wouldn’t get to go out with them.
I think their was more manners in eariler times.
It’s hard to say but I hope that people have more manners now.
Earlier times for sure!
Definitely more manners in earlier times. Now a days, people just let their kids do whatever! It’s so important to teach proper manners at an early age.
I’d say table manners have gotten worse.
Earlier times for sure!
I think earlier times for sure.
I think that people have less manners now… just saying
Children have less manners now. As an educator i try my best to teach them. I love men who have good manners.
People have less manners now for sure.

I think people used to have more manners than they do now
I think people have less manners now….but I can only hope I teach my son proper etiquette and manners for everyday.
Thanks.
It seems like no one knows their manners anymore. We were brought up very strictly when it cames to any kind of manners or talking with respect to elders. Definitely not the same now in 2012.
manners were better in the past generally I’ld say.

I don’t think manners, in general are that great these days, unfortunately
I think that the majority have no manners at all… But I do think that manners are coming back! 🙂
I think in earlier times.
What a great product idea! Manners (or lack thereof) are a pet-peeve of mine and it makes it very difficult to teach our daughter manners and to be polite, when it seems that much of society around us has forgotten about these basic qualities.
What a great idea!
THERE WERE DEFINATLY MORE MANNERS USED IN EARLIER TIMES AND THEY WERE EASIER TO FIGURE OUT.
Definately in earlier times! 🙂
I think manners was more prevalent before however you can still find it every once in a while which is encouraging.
Answer: I think before there was more of a general adherence to table manners. But now some people are uber mannered and others just don’t care.
People had better manners in earlier times, although my daughters teachers always tell me that she has excellent manners.
I think less manners as life becomes more violent and harsh.

I think people had more manners in earlier times .
Not now. That’s for sure. Children today are rude! Mine are not perfect but we do not tolerate disrespect!
defintely worse now
hands down-earlier times!
Well people these days really don’t have the manners as people in the older days did 🙂
People had better manners in earlier times.
I think there is less of a focus on manners now, we’ve (unfortunately) just made other things a priority.
I would love to use the cards with my son as soon as he’s ready 🙂
I think both, depends on how you were raised
I think people have different, poorer manners than in past time. Not fewer. I would LOVE these cards for my three adopted children and my three grown children & their children ; )
people for sure have less manners/consideration/respect than they used to.
What a wonderful idea!
Definitely earlier times! Parents just don’t seem to teach this anymore.
I think people have less manners nowadays
Manners in earlier times…not as many distractions
Table Manners are hardly taught anymore 🙁

One of the first golfing rules of etiquette and a
very important one at that is -“To learn to play properly before going out on the golf course”.
It’s a truism that in business-to-business transactions,
people buy from people. Any time multi-millionaire Gill Fielding has trouble thinking positively,
she works to connect her thoughts to the colour blue, Hamlet,
or Shakespeare. Obviously, this is not possible to accomplish manually unless you intend on spending
a substantial amount of resources and man power to get it done.
