by Angela V Do you still use a manual toothbrush? I made the switch to electric a few years ago, and I would never go back now. I’ve used the same brand for many years, so I was excited when I was given a chance to try the new cariPRO Ultrasonic Electric Toothbrush by Smile Brilliant.
The first thing I noticed when I tried the cariPRO was that the toothbrush heads were larger than the ones I was using before and a bit firmer. Right away it felt like the cleaning surface increased with every stroke — a really good start.
This electric toothbrush is waterproof, and it stays charged for 30 days after a full charge, so it is great for travel. I used to never travel with my electric brush because I didn’t want to have to carry chargers and cables with me — no need to worry about that when using the cariPRO.
The cariPRO features five brushing modes, including Clean, White, Massage, Gum Care and Sensitive. I gave each one a try, using a new one every time I brushed my teeth for five days.
The Clean mode really leaves your mouth feeling like you just finished a dental clean at the dentist, so fresh. I found that mode wasn’t too strong for my sensitive gums and it was a great everyday setting.
I tried the White mode next. You can really feel the brush working harder and getting those teeth extra cleaned for that lovely white look. I already have pretty white teeth naturally, and this mode felt a bit too strong for my gums so I wouldn’t use it daily. Great if your teeth tend to stain after drinking coffee or wine.
Massage mode was next. I have never used a massage mode before, even in my old toothbrush, and I found that my gums felt so good after. Gum health is so important and linked to so many health issues, so this is a mode I’ll continue to use again and again.
The Gum Care mode gives you a gentle low setting gum massage that is great to do after a full Clean or White mode. I found it relaxing, and my gums looked super healthy after.
Finally, I gave the Sensitive mode a try. This has to be one of my favourite modes. If your gums hurt after brushing or even bleed after you brush, consider the Sensitive mode. It is gentle, yet effective and you will be left with clean teeth and happy gums.
Each of the brushing modes is designed to operate for two minutes, with brief pauses between each 30-second burst. That brief pause tells you to move to a different quadrant of the mouth. I love this because it forces you to spend enough time in each quadrant. I don’t think I was doing this before and I was probably skipping areas that were important. Causing plaque built up that my dentist has to remove at my regular cleanings.
I am in love with my new toothbrush and really excited to chat with my dentist at my next cleaning. I am curious to see if he notices a difference now that I am using the cariPRO regularly. I can certainly feel it!

I use an electric brush and I do have to say they work so much better then manual, love mine, but it’s old and ready for an upgrade!
I would be so excited to try the Caripro toothbrush. I love your detailed review on it and would love to try these different modes to help my gums and teeth. I am currently using a basic electric toothbrush but it does not have any different modes and does not do anything special other than brushing. #SMILEFEARLESSLY 🙂
