Summer Time Must-Have Products For Kids

It is finally the summer break and we are loving the slower days and more relaxed routine.

I have some ideas for you. I am sharing some fantastic products we tried and tested to help you keep kids’ minds and bodies active outside of school.

The Globber NL-205 Scooter (for ages 8+, kids, and adults!)

Scooters are perfect if you are looking for active outdoor fun this summer. The Globber NL-205 features a height adjustable t-bar, and it is ideal for the kids/teens in your family.

We got one to try out this summer and the boys are loving it.

We like that you can adjust the handle height; so it works for both my eight and 11-year-old boys.

Right now they are both on the first setting, and they can move up as they get taller. 

The NL-205 has high rebound 205mm PU casted wheels, a robust aluminium deck, and an extra long rear brake for wheel longevity.

The large wheels make the rides very smooth and they are perfect for city riding.

National Geographic Kits

National Geographic Break Open 2 Real Geodes

We got two National Geographic kits to try out. These are so much fun and hours of fun!

My 8-year-old loved breaking open the 2 Geodes from the first kit. He loved having the safety glasses (included) and hitting the rocks with a real hammer. It was fun to break them open to see the crystals inside.

We used the rock method described in the learning guide/instruction booklet for extra safety to avoid flying pieces of rock. 

A small magnifying glass was included, and he loved looking at the crystals close up with it. 

Highly recommend this kit! Adult supervision is required obviously as a real hammer is used.

National Geographic Dinosaur Dig Kit

My 8-year-old loves digging, and digging the dinosaur tooth was super fun. He also loved getting the dino poop, as that was a surprise.

We took this kit outside because it can get dusty and messy, but it was a sunny day,  and this was the perfect activity to keep him entertained and happy. 

Lots of fun for little ones. They can do this independently.

Smart Labs Kits

We are big Smart Labs Kits fans. Our 8-year-old got their Tiny Baking Kit for his birthday last year, and we loved it. We made the cutest cupcakes and some other fun recipes.

I love how everything is tiny, but everything works, and you can bake actual mini food items using the kit.

Includes a metal storage tin, rolling pin, wee-knife, pizza/dough cutter, mixing spoons, three wee-spoons, mixing bowl, pizza/pie pan, pie server, sheet pan, silicone cake & cupcake moulds, two silicone finger mitts and a 48-page illustrated recipe book.

These little kits are just the cutest and make for hours of creative play.

We also got to try their Tiny Science Kit as well, and we had so much fun. My 8-year-old loves that it comes with all the tools and containers needed to conduct the experiments.
