Some companies haven’t heard of. I use an app when shopping to scan the upc code making sure it’s Canadian. I’ve learnt a lot.

Any of these would be fantastic, but I especially would love to win the Nothern Bars one, because they sound amazing, and also because I’d share it with my Mum, who would love these. Supporting Canadian – well, the hardest thing for me was giving up Amazon. I don’t have a car, I live on the frozen prairies, so getting everything from groceries to books left right at my door was really helpfull, it can be challening going out in -40 on the bus to get groceries.
However, I found some good Canadian sites, and so can still enjoy some of the convinnience of getting some items delivered to my place. I was also able to discover some of my now-favourite Canadian brands on these sites, which I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. It feels good to do the right thing, to support local, and to support Canadian, I’m actually really enjoying that part of it, and the feeling of being a part of a movement that will help my country.
I am also shopping more at small, local stores. The thing about this is that, although, sure, it does take more time, with having to take the bus, but it’s worth it. It just feels right, and it’s gotten me into shopping more in-store (and less online), and that feels nice, too, it’s good to have that sense of community.

This is an awesome way to show our support for Canadian and local companies, I have been reading labels a lot more lately and prefer to support local!
I have always enjoyed shopping local and it’s really important to support Canadian businesses. There are so many awesome companies to be proud of.
Half of these businesses I have heard of, and the other half I have not. Being introduced to new (to me) companies and products helps me learn about how great they are, and then they come to mind when I need purchase, or make a recommedation to a friend.
I like to support our local stores and farmers in my area. Not only am I helping local entrepeneurs, but I find the quality of food to be better. And when you are not able to shop, spread the word about them, so someone else can discover.
As a Canadian, I prefer to support Canadian made products if possible. I love Purdys Choclatier and would love to win this for my husband and boys.
