Last night my family and I had the pleasure to attend the opening night of Disney On Ice: Frozen at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. The show features the ice-skating version of the movie Frozen, told on the ice and with music and dialogue straight from the movie and the official movie soundtrack.
We really enjoyed the elaborate sets, great costumes, acting and skating and all of the special effects. The figure skating was definitively impressive and the performers made the skating look effortless, it was a very fun night for all. Our 5-year-old thought that the show was fantastic and our almost 2-year-old enjoyed parts of it as well, I only say “parts of it” because no almost 2-year-old is meant to sit still for more than 20-minutes! However, look at their concentration as they enjoyed the show:
The highlight of the show for us was definitively Elsa singing “Let It Go”. I captured part of Elsa’s performance on video (see video below) and it was amazing. Her dress was beautiful, the skating was flawless and you could feel the audience’s excitement as they sang along. We also really enjoyed the funny little trolls dancing to “Fixer Upper” with Anna and Kristoff.
We have to say that Disney’s Frozen and ice skating go really well together for obvious reasons. This is a must see show for the entire family and we highly recommend it, especially for young Frozen fans.

Looks like so much fun!!! Can’t wait to take my girls!
Looked amazing! Loved these shows when I was little.
I went to my first ever Disney on Ice show last year. It was marvellous, beautiful skating, wonderful costumes and I thoroughly enjoyed it, though I must say that I was shocked at the prices for things like cotton candy (which I love and had wanted to buy), a child’s drinking mug etc. Oh well, it was a birthday treat for me so extra special to me.
This looks like such a blast for the whole family! Thanks for the video!
We haven’t seen or heard anything from Frozen yet….I know it’s a matter of time!
Looks like so much fun for the kids
