I do a lot of the cooking at home and I am extra careful during food preparation and clean up to help prevent the spread of bacteria. I wash my hands after touching raw meats and sanitize surfaces that are in contact with any raw meat immediately.
The Pilar Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O Technology we recently received from Delta Faucets has been fantastic when helping me clean up the messes.
I can start and stop the flow of water with a simple tap anywhere on the spout or the handle. I don’t need to touch it with my messy hands and I can just use the back of my hand or my wrist.
The Touch2O technology helps me prevent the spread of bacteria by making it easy for me to turn on/off the water flow when my hands are messy and when I don’t need to use water in between tasks, saving energy and water at the same time, yay for that!
My hubby installed it the same day we got it and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. You don’t need to be a plumber to get it installed and by following the clearly marked step by step instructions everything was working right away. There was water coming out from it immediately and everything was functioning as it should. So exciting!
The Pilar Faucet is very helpful when I have my hands dirty with paint or any other messy craft/art material I am handling at the moment. Great when working on art projects with little ones or baking.
The Pilar’s handle adjusts the flow rate and temperature and a blue LED light at the bottom of the spout indicates when the Touch2O Technology is engaged {it turns red when batteries need to be replaced}. I love all of the sensors and technology, very cool and modern.
Some of my favorite features:
1) The Pilar has a diverter button that allows you to quickly switch from stream to spray with a simple click.
2) The DIAMOND™ Seal Technology eliminates wear on seals and leaks/drips from the valves
3) All parts needed for installation are provided in the box along with clear instructions
4)The Pilar’s spout swivels 360◦ and that allows proper clearance for plates, pots and other utensils
5) The Pilar faucet looks modern and stylish and I love the stainless steel finish

I love tech, so the article about the LG fridge that tells you when your food is near it’s expiration date is a great idea. We often find things growing on our food in the fridge.
Absolutely “love” this new Delta ~ Pilar touch kitchen faucet ~ this is exactly what every kitchen NEEDS!!! this contest comes just when my OLD faucet is very wobbly & wearing out! Just the other day I said to my daugter that I saw a commercial for a “cool – new – kitchen faucet” that you simply touch to make it work she was amazed that such a “faucet” actually was available & so modern in design with that beautiful brushed stainless steel finish!!! Delta is leading the way with such an innovative mix of “beauty & design” with such an amazing & practical faucet! Thnx for this great opportunity*
I find it interesting that you admit that your fave hobby is watching tv,…si is mine:)
I thought the LG Smart Manager Fridge was very interesting and it would be so nice to have if it was in the budget.
I like that the creative people at Beige is dead are women. They have an interesting site to brouse and blogs to read. One video about living alone is really funny.
As a 25 year old Canadian woman, I found every single one of the first page posts applicable to me. I was especially interested in their article about new and cool gadgets to help us sloppy humans stay organized and on time! 🙂 It hit home for me!
Very interesting article about the LG smart fridge” LG’s new fridge lets you track the inventory of food in your fridge and keeps track of expiration dates so you can avoid that horrible feeling of drinking sour milk.” Very cool!
What will they think of next?

Your rafflecopter isn’t working for me, it says “You can earn 20 more entries today!
Finish these 0 entries to unlock the rest.” Nothing pops up for me to enter any of the entries!
Sandra, I just checked and it is taking a bit to load for me but they are showing up no problem. Would you mind trying again and giving it a few seconds to fully load? Their server may be slow this morning. Thanks!

What a great idea! This would be sooo helpful in my kitchen.
I like the Hunger Games Decor post!
I found the article about floating homes interesting. Good idea for areas prone to flooding, especially with all the rain lately!
I LOVE the LG fridge!!
Entered…I like the idea of this faucet, but have to admit I get an awful feeling about the RaffleCopter app — not just re, but everywhere. I don’t like the thing at all, makes the hairs on the back of my neck go up.
What do you mean David? The Rafflecopter application in general?
In general, yes — it’s not just here. I get creeped out every time I use it, and it’s leading me to skip over pages that use it. Which is perhaps good for other entrants! I think I’ll be avoiding it altogether shortly. The thing is, I can’t give anyone specific evidence here — it’s really just an instinctive reaction.
Sorry it makes you feel that way, their services are wonderful for blogs that offer multiple giveaways at a time and they have a good policy regarding safekeeping user information.
There were a lot of neat and unique blog posts on Beige is Dead which I found interesting, but what really piqued my curiosity were the posts about alternative ways of living and places to live in… Particularly the articles on ‘Living La Vida Solo’ and ‘Water Wednesday: Living on Water’ and how that is applicable to the currently lifestyles in the developed world.
Puleez – my kitchen faucet is archaic!! Thank you!!
I learned that 65% of the water usage in the home happens in our bathrooms..didn’t know that but now that I do I agree with the article..show with your partner..lol.
everyone comes to a relationship with baggage
where do you enter the contest… clicking on the rafflecopter just directs me to have my own raffle!!
Denise, the form will appear after a few seconds. It just take a few seconds to load. Hope that works!

the technology article made me laugh, I guess some people really do have more money then brains….shesh
I liked the article about show-stopping dining tables. I have had a nice dining room in just about every home I have lived in except the one I presented reside in. I have always gravitated toward unusual pieces of furniture and just loved these examples. I did however not make up my mind between my 2 favorites: the Anthropologie Mineral and Might Dining Table and the Structube Xenia Dining Table. Perhaps one day I may be lucky enough to own a dining set similar to either of them.
I would love a Delta Pilar Touch 2O faucet for my kitchen…I am constantly calling family members to come and turn the tap on for me when my hands are dirty.
I liked the Love on the Run article with futuristic luggage ideas.
Friday Favourites: TV Edition was interesting to read
Reminder Technology was good because I like tech gadgets
Their articles are really diverse. They write about a little bit of everything! I thought that they would be directly associated with the Delta faucet so maybe that’s why I’m surprised about their diversity.

Nothing to do with decorating, but the first thing I read and learned there was “The Hunger Games spent its fourth week as the top-grossing movie in theatres.” Good to know – must be a winner.
I learned how to make a bunny butt cake
I learned when Save Water Week is here in Canada (March 19th-25th). A bit funny too, since just over an hour ago I was telling my friend she can save water by showering with her roommate. She just looked at me in disgust.
I am really in to Japanese Cherry Blossoms, so fitting that it was the top post. Everything cherry blossom makes me happy!

Really like the offfice wind turbines
I like the Pebble Boot tray they featured.
I love the save water, shower with a friend post haha
That faucet would be fantastic in the kitchen. Wouldn’t have to touch the tap after preparing meat, what a great idea.
Love the Peter and Grove reclaimed table. I got a new table myself with the butterfly leaf. Ot os amazing how the style of a table affects family dinners. We can easily sit 8-10 around the table but it closes up to a small size without having to store (and bang up) extra table pieces in a closet.
Martha Stewart still has it. The Martha Stewart’s DIY Pebble Boot Tray is simplistic yet classy.
The fridge lets you take inventory of your food and tracks the expiration dates. far too cool. would be great for me
I found out Beige is Dead is also on Tumblr!
