After having the chance to attend this amazing show in Vancouver, Allison (my friend who attended with our free tickets) sent me the following review:
“Stars on Ice was truly a great family show. I loved watching my young daughters reaction almost as much as I enjoyed the performance itself. A mix of great music, both old and new, created the electrifying backdrop for truly stunning figure skating. The solo and partner routines were excellent, everything from flowy passionate choreography styled to the feel of “So You Think You Can Dance” to a firey tango borrowed from “Moulin Rouge”. However, it’s hard not to appreciate a rink full of olympic medalists and world champions in the group pieces. And for comedic relief, nothing beat Curt Browning’s monologues”

Figure skating is a sport and activity in which individuals, duos, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. The four Olympic disciplines are men’s singles, ladies’ singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Non-Olympic disciplines include synchronized skating and four skating. In senior-level competition, skaters generally perform two programs (short and long) which, depending on the discipline, may include spins, jumps, moves in the field, lifts, throw jumps, death spirals, and other elements or moves.*^

Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you writing
this article and also the rest of the website is
really good.
I’ve only ever been to see one ice show and I loved every minute of it. Not being able to skate myself (I found it far too difficult gripping the ice through my skates!) I always marvel at people who can and all that they can do whilst on the ice. 🙂
