We limit screen time for our children so finding quality content for when they do get to play on the iPad is a priority for us. I often download e-books and educational games for them and I was recently introduced to the Napkin Man e-Books app series by CBC (free on iTunes).
The Napkin Man e-books stand apart from others because they are highly interactive and intuitive, allowing the child to interact directly with Napkin Man through a series of activities, songs and games. Each of the three e-books available open with a tale of a child facing an emotional challenge, a teacher then frames the experience and narrates the stories with Napkin Man offering coping strategies and teaching little ones about working through the different issues.
Here my son is enjoying his favourite from the series, The Adventures of Napkin Man – Treasure for all, an e-book that focuses on learning to share with friends!
Links to download all 3 Napkin Man e-books for free from iTunes are below, I highly recommend them all. They are fun, educational, with a great message and FREE!
