When we were little girls my sister and I had a big collection of Barbie dolls, a Ken doll and one Skipper doll (Barbie’s sister), we also had lots and lots of clothing and accessories for them all. I remember us playing with the dolls, creating different scenarios and taking them shopping, to school and everywhere else, it was all about creative, imaginative play!
As I grew up I saved my favourite dolls and accessories and kept them in a box for my “future children”, thinking someday I was going to have a daughter to play with them. Fast forward twenty-something-years later and I am a now a mom of two happy BOYS…
I adore having little boys and wouldn’t change it for the world but growing up in a home with mostly girl toys I wasn’t used to the millions of cars, trucks and trains they love. Our eldest LOVES Thomas & Friends, he plays with his trains for hours and even sleeps on a Thomas The Train bed!
At this point I can say that I probably know everything there is to know about Thomas and his friends, I have spent many hours building police station structures with building blocks, I have built several Hot Wheels tracks and I know most superhero names and stories.
