“Pete’s Dragon” is one of the newest Disney family films and it is now available on Digital HD and Blu-ray™. We received a copy of the movie and watched it as a family last week.
The boys love dragons, and this magical film captivated our entire family. The film is beautiful, and the effects and the animation of Elliot the dragon make it so realistic. All the beautiful landscapes and the forest made for some breathtaking dragon flight scenes as well.
I had a cry or two in a couple of sad scenes and enjoyed the fun surprises and charismatic characters, including little Pete. Such a fantastic little actor!
This is a great family movie night pick, and we all gave it a thumbs up. We also loved watching some of the bonus features, including a revealing look at director David Lowery’s personal diary kept during the filming of “Pete’s Dragon,” the design process behind the lovable dragon Elliot, deleted scenes, a tour of the film’s breathtaking production location of New Zealand, audio commentary by filmmakers and actors, some hilarious bloopers and more.
Pete’s Dragon was a very enjoyable movie for all. If you are looking for a fun family movie then you will love the Blu-ray/DVD.
