Beef and Asparagus on Lettuce Leaves
1. Marinate the steak in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and honey for at least one hour, and up to 24. 2. Blanch the pieces of asparagus in a pot of salted boiling water for one minute. Refresh in ice water, drain, and leave on a paper towel. 3. Remove the steak pieces from the marinade. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sear the steak pieces, approximately one minute on each side. 4. Place a few pieces of asparagus into a lettuce leaf. Top with a few pieces of steak. I love my asparagus, though I must admit it took me a while to get used to it being green! In Europe it’s mostly the white variety. This is wonderfully displayed, if it tastes half as good as it looks this is a winner 🙂

a simple light lunch
A nice and simple lunch or dinner.
I’m not a fan of fish but when I looked up the fish sauce they said to use it in place of soy sauce or salt, so I’m going the other direction and will try this with soy sauce, lol. It looks so good! I’d love the Chilli and Ginger dipping sauce!
