Are you a fan of Dr. Seuss? What about classic books like “The Lorax, Horton Hears a Who!, Green Eggs and Ham” and more? We are big fans, so I was super excited when Kobo announced that more than 40 Dr. Seuss classic books are now available at Kobo.com to be downloaded via their eBookstore.
Just in time for summer break parents can download the eBooks and enjoy the beautifully illustrated books using their Kobo devices. We have a Kobo Arc 7HD Android tablet and I love the HD screen and how the illustrations just pop up, every image looks so crisp! Dr. Seuss books are full of colour and they are a lot of fun to read, I really enjoy reading the silly and inspiring books with my sons and watching them learn new words.
With a magnificent screen boasting 323 ppi, books, movies and games look almost lifelike in the screen. The Kobo Arc7HD features a powerful 1.7GHz quad-core processor that offers a speedy and powerful experience while exploring the web, reading books, watching movies and connecting via social media.
The Kobo Arc7HD also features a 1.3 MP front HD camera that is perfect for video chatting. We use it with Skype to get in touch with family and my toddler loves being able to see and video chat with his grandparents and other family members who live in other cities.
The Kobo eBook store also gives you access to over 4 million books, magazines, comics and kids books. There are so many classic and new releases available. I love that I can browse and download books from the comfort of my own home over WiFi, no need to drive to the book store. Besides it is much more eco-friendly to get the eBook version of the books instead of the paperback. We rarely buy paper books now, we often go to the library to borrow the books or purchase eBooks online.
I must add that the Kobo Arc 7HD runs Android 4.2 Jellybean OS. I like that Android is easy to use and you also get Google Play where you can download the latest apps (free and paid) and a pre-loaded variety of apps that come with the device. Jellybean is fully customizable and you can even create multiple personal accounts. I have my own account and one for the kids to ensure my changes and set ups are not switched. I don’t have to worry about my toddler Instagraming random photos or sending funny e-mails to all my contacts anymore.
This powerful little device weights 341 g. and it measures 122W x 194H x 9.6 mmD. It is not a super light device but it is small enough to fit in your bag and you can easily hold it in one hand when reading or watching a video.
So far my kids and I are loving the Kobo Arc7HD and we are looking forward to downloading more books for children and young readers using the Kobo Kids store. There are lots of read along and picture books available for download and we also want to get a few more Dr. Seuss books. I definivetely support and recommend inspiring technology that make it easy for children to explore the joys of reading.

I love that there’s children ebooks now. It’s great for road trip where you can get your children’s favourite books all on an ereader and not actually pack any of the books!
I do like Dr Seuss books and I’m sure my grandchildren would love the Kobo to go with the books 🙂
I enjoy reading Dr. Seuss books, but not as much as Robert Munch books.
