Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22nd to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire people to take action to protect our planet. It was first celebrated in 1970 and has since become a global event observed in more than 190 countries.
Earth Day events typically involve educational activities, community cleanups, and other actions to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Today I am excited to share a round-up of beautiful and engaging children’s books from Nat Geo Kids Books to help you celebrate our planet and spotlight how each one of us can make a positive impact upon the earth — on Earth Day and every day! These are must-haves for your home library. Be sure to enter the giveaway below for your chance to win them all!
Celebrating Earth Day with our children is vital because it reminds us of our responsibility to protect the planet we call home. As the world’s population continues to grow and our natural resources become increasingly scarce, it is more important than ever to take steps to reduce our environmental impact.
Earth Day provides an opportunity to reflect on how we can positively impact the environment and take action to reduce our carbon footprint. Promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship can help ensure that future generations inherit a healthy and thriving planet.
Happy Earth Day!
