Christmas is right around the corner, and who doesn’t love to curl up with a nice book on those cold nights? Reading is a huge part of our bedtime routine, and with the holiday season we love to read books that go with the traditions of the holidays. Santa’s Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night before Christmas by DK Simoneau & David Radman is a fun story that will leave you wondering about what is happening to Christmas and Santa. This is a must read if your little ones believe in Santa, or even if you just love a good, fun story.
As a kid did you ever wonder if Santa has ever had an bad day, where things just did not work out the way they should? This book gives you a little glimpse as to what Santa’s life is possibly like. Things start to go a bit wrong when Mrs. Claus is sick. Santa has to figure out things all on his own, and well… they just don’t go quite right. Christmas as we know it is changed because of a series of events that occur. Would Christmas be the same if snow was pink, Christmas trees were flipped upside down, and Santa wore a purple suit instead of a red one?
This story will let your kids imagination run wild, and have everyone giggling along to the story. It’s a story that parents can relate to, where one little thing can change the whole day. The story line provides a great opportunity to talk about cause and effect with older kids. Also be sure to keep an eye out for a little mouse that makes his way through the pages of the book.
You will have a lot of fun reading through this book at Christmas time, and it is a great one to include if you are doing a countdown to Christmas with one book each night. The illustrations are stunning, and the story is perfect for the holidays. You will want this one in your book collection.
