Trying Out The Bumbo Floor Seat
If you are a parent or a caregiver of young children then it is likely that you have seen a Bumbo Floor seat before. You may have even used one of these popular seats with your children before.
The Bumbo Floor seat is designed to seat young babies who can’t sit up by themselves yet. If babies can support their own head then they can seat in the Bumbo seat, allowing them to interact with their surroundings in a seated position.
We tried the Bumbo seat with our 9 week old and he loved it. He has good head support but I am waiting a few more weeks until he has better head support to continue using it more often.
Here’s more info about the Bumbo seat directly from the Bumbo website:
“The floor seat stabilizes the child into slight hip flexion, placing the pelvis in a slight anterior pelvic tilt which facilitates lumbar extension. This action, combined with the gentle curve of the seat back that matches the natural curve of the rib cage, facilitates the baby around the lower ribs and trunk for stabilization. The Seat allows for active practice of the head and postural trunk control. It also allows a child the pelvic stability needed to get the hands into the mid line for play. Upright positioning facilitates an improved visual field of the environment, improved respirations and breath control, assists a baby who needs to be upright after feeding due to reflux and many other benefits.”
Trying Out The Bumbo Booster Seat
I knew about the Bumbo seat before but I didn’t know that Bumbo also offers a variety of other products like Booster Seats, Step Stools, Toilet Trainers and more. All of their products are functional and designed for modern families with children’s safety in mind.
We had a chance to try their Bumbo Booster Seat (designed for children 12 months to 5 years old) and my toddler loves it. He is now getting too big for his high chair and transitioning to sitting at the table with us using an adult chair is made easy and safe with the Bumbo Booster Seat.
The Bumbo Booster Seat is super comfortable and it is made of the same soft material as the Bumbo Floor Seat. It has been ergonomically designed and it features safety restraint belts and attachment straps that keep children sitting safely in place.
I love that the Bumbo Booster Seat gives my son extra height at the table and allows him to sit with us comfortably. The seat is also super easy to wipe clean and it doesn’t take a lot of room. Perfect for us right now!
Bumbo Floor Seats and Booster Seats are both available online here. You can also visit www.oyaco.com to find retailer near you.

I had no idea they made other products, thanks for posting! We own the floor seat.
Love our bumbo seat, will probably get a booster for our toddler.
Cool, we love bumbo products.
We love bumbo seats in our family! The booster looks awesome too!
Very cool, I love their booster seat
I love the Bumbo! That was my daughters first chair! Awesome chair and was so handy for my daughter to sit on while I was doing house work etc. Would definitely recommend this!!
I didn’t know they made booster seats and potty seats.
I was soooo close to buying a Bumbo Seat, but hesitated because of my baby’s HUGE thighs. There’s no way she could sit comfortably. But I’ll be checking out the booster and potty seats. The booster looks great and super cozy to sit on. But I wasn’t aware they made a potty seat….
Great idea to use this as a booster seat, never thought of that. I didn’t realize that older kids could use this chair as well. I got rid of it when my daughter was about a year old. Now I wish I wouldn’t have!!
That’s quite the awesome seat!
I love this! I love that this is so convenient. I can take it with me when we go visit my parents’ house
I love this seat and its almost time for the little one to start using a seat in the next few months
Wow,I love their booster seat.
I’m sorry to be the downer, but have you read any of the dangers of this product? I came across some disturbing testimonials while debating purchasing the chair. Yes, some parents definitely weren’t using proper precautions (like putting the infant chair on a table instead of floor) but others used product as directed and kept a regular cautious eye. Injuries have occurred, including skull fractures. While it seems like a great help to keep infants attentive, one second of this thing tipping over even if you are two feet away could result in skull, neck, spine, or hip injuries. Sucks but true 🙁 I don’t even think this thing should be on the market.
