Most people think of yoga instructors as incredibly flexible, ethereal beings, floating around the earth like fairies. Let me assure you this is not the case. I find myself with more muscle soreness now than I did during my half marathon training days. Holding up your body weight, endless chair poses and lunges can leave a yogi full of knots and cramps.
I’ve been mentioning to my husband that we should really get a high density foam roller so that we can both use it to work out some of our muscle tightness, so that’s why I was stoked when I was asked to review a cool new website called yogaoutlet.com. This site has just about everything yoga-related plus a few things that are athletics or sports-oriented as well. I found a highly rated (which is always very helpful since not all websites actually include a rating system), large high density roller and knew that had to be on my list. I also wanted to check out a brand that I have seen on my many trips to the mall when I have visited the United States called Lucy and decided on a simple grey racerback tank top. I find myself shopping online a lot these days. I love the ease in which I can find items, price compare and save on time and gas money by having things arrive at my door. It can be a crapshoot with clothing but returns and exchanges are becoming much easier with online purchases and I often find it worth the risk.
I was extremely happy with both items. The foam roller was exactly what I have been looking for and the price was very reasonable at $14.95. The tank was very comfortable and flattering.
I found the selection of items to be what you would expect on an outlet website. Some items had a variety of colours and sizes, however many were limited to only one colour or only one or two sizes. I loved that there was free shipping on orders over $49 and even better, free 1-2 day shipping on orders over $99. The processing and shipping were actually quite fast and I had my items within a week of ordering. At the moment they only seem to ship to the United States, but perhaps that will expand in the future.
I would use this site again in a heartbeat and will be on the look out for some great deals the next time I am looking for some casual yoga wear, which frankly is pretty much all the time.
