Traveling as a family of four means we have to bring a lot more clothing and extra stuff with us. I can easily pack my 1-year-old’s stuff in my own luggage but having a separate piece of luggage for our eldest just makes a lot of sense. Something he can help pack and carry himself is ideal.
Enter the adorable yet practical Beatrix New York Wheelie Bags!
These super cute bags are the perfect jet-setting suitcase for kids of all ages. They come with an adjustable handle that has multiple lock settings, allowing little ones to drag them along on their wheels and with a simple adjustment the handle goes up to adult height for when they are tired, genius!
The Wheelie Bags are made of heavy duty nylon over a sturdy yet light frame. The inside of each bag has a zippered pouch that is great for their toiletries and and a bag clip that keeps clothes in place. There is also a exterior zipped pocket that’s great for easy access.
After our bag arrived it took only a few minutes for our son to pack all of his valuables and announce he was ready to travel. I wasn’t sure where he was planning to go but he even got his sun hat ready! Well, at least he was thinking of a sunny place…
We received the Pixel design but they have seven other super adorable designs to choose from.
Something worth mentioning is that the bag is PVC free, lead free, & phthalate free. The size (13 x 16 x 6.5″) is also small enough to fit as a carry on on most airlines and it is spacious enough to fit all of my son’s clothing, toiletries and little treasures.
In general we love how spacious and sturdy the Wheelie Bag is and of course the fun design, these are available for $94 so a bit more expensive than other brands but you are of course paying for better quality.
I can’t wait to go on our next adventure, hopefully very soon to take our new piece of luggage with us. For now our son has been busy packing and unpacking and pulling his Wheelie Bag around. He absolutely loves it!

I love the Wheelie Bag and I love the expressions on your son’s face. He looks so proud to handle his own luggage, just like his parents.
Practise makes perfect so he should feel just like a seasoned traveller when he does go somewhere with all the family.
I think the Wheelie Bag is so cute and so light for a small child to carry-would make a wonderful gift for someone special.

I love the fact that kids can now have their very own wheelie, they grow at least 10 inches with the responsibility of taking their own luggage (as one can see in the photos) 🙂
I was just checking this New York Wheelie Bag again and I am still in love with it. I love the extendable handle so a parent can run it is the little one gets tired. I love that it has a pouch inside to hold small items, and a bag clip to keep clothes in place. It has an outside pouch to hold items that one might need in a hurry. It has 8 designs, made of sturdy fabrics and can be a carry-on. What’s not to love?!
