If you are looking to host your child’s next birthday party at a unique and fun spot in Metro Vancouver, then look no further. We just celebrated our son’s 7th birthday at Vancity OCR in Port Coquitlam. The city’s only indoor obstacle course, and ninja training gym.
Vancity OCR is co-owned by Allison Tai, a mom of two and competitive runner and Ironman triathlete. She placed 2nd in the World’s Toughest Mudder 2014, was first place overall in the Canadian Spartan Race Series in 2015, and is the 2016 UltraBeast World Champion. At Vancity OCR, Alison is now sharing her passion for life and fitness with others.
Birthday parties at Vancity OCR include 1 hour of floor time with a coach, 45 minutes of party room time and 15 minutes of open gym time. All basic decorations, table-ware and table-cover are also included. We just picked up the snacks, cake, and cutlery and we were set. Each child also receives a special Vancity OCR water bottle at the end of the party. Perfect if you want to skip the loot bags!
Kids of all ages are welcome at the gym. Younger kids can play in a toddler room provided there is no class going on and older kids can play in the big gym area. We had a large group so we had the group divided into two and each group had a coach going through the ninja training exercises and obstacle course circuits.
The kids all had a great time, the coaches and staff were very friendly and helpful and the parents were happy to see the kids burning off extra energy. After the party, several parents commented on how the kids were talking about going back to the gym or even booking their own birthday party at Vancity OCR as well.
To book your own birthday party or event you can contact Vancity OCR via their website.
