I love finding and supporting local businesses. It is so important to support local business owners and experience all the great spots the city has to offer.
We recently decided to check out Milltown Bar & Grill, a waterfront bar/restaurant overlooking YVR and Milltown Marina. We booked it for my birthday dinner and headed there with our two boys.
If you love fun, upbeat ambience plus great food, this is the place for you. I highly recommend Milltown Bar & Grill when you have busy, young kids. You don’t have to worry if the kids get too loud and they also offer a great kid’s menu. And as a bonus, they loved the boats and the marina views!
The service was terrific from the moment we stepped into the restaurant, and our waitress was friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide what to order.
I received a glass of complimentary champagne when they found out it was my birthday and my husband and I ended up ordering their steak, which was delicious. The boys each got some burgers and fries, and they enjoyed them as well.
We had a wonderful night, and we appreciated how fast the service was. We were done our meal and heading home in just over an hour after arriving. When you have young kids who get bored easily, waiting isn’t very fun and getting food on the table without waiting too long is fantastic.
Before heading out, we received their “Nauti Card”, a loyalty, stamp card that allows you to collect stamps for each meal you order. Once you reach ten stamps, you can get one free meal. I thought that was a pretty good deal. We are saving the cards to use next time we stop by.
At the end of the night, we got our bill, paid using our credit card and their wireless machine, and we were out the door and ready to head home for some birthday cake. It was a pretty successful family outing for us.
If you are in the area or looking for a new spot to check out, I highly suggest you consider stopping by Milltown Bar & Grill. They have delicious food and a kid’s menu.
I can’t wait to go back in the summer to check out their view!

Sounds like a great hometown bar and grill, we have one similar in the next town from us and always feel so welcomed and at ease when going and the food is so good!

Seems like such a lovely place to bring the family.
Adding this restaurant to my ‘places to try’ list for the next time I am in Vancouver
