We are in the middle of Spring Break in Vancouver. Some schools are going back next week, but we still have one more week to go. Since the boys are done their Spring camps, I have been planning what our days will look like next week.
We are going to be visiting some of our favourite spots in the city, and I found some great events/programs to share. Lots of great choices, even during the rainy days!
Below is the full list of places you can check out next week in Vancouver.
Vancouver with Kids During the Spring Break {Where to Go}
During the break, you can head to your local VPL branch to enjoy a variety of free programs for kids of all ages, including LEGO Block Party, Story Time, Afternoon at the Movies, Family Board Games and more. Check out the schedule for full details HERE.
Western Canada’s largest indoor carnival is back for spring break 2018 with six fun-filled days of carnival rides, games, and sweet treats. With over 45 rides and attractions all under one roof, there is no better place for indoor family fun this spring break than at PlayDome. PlayDome will be open from March 28th through to Monday, April 2nd. We went last year, and it was a fun day for both kids. Buy tickets HERE.
From March 19th -29th there will be Spring Break fun happening at the Burnaby Village Museum. Learn about lead type at the print shop, ride the carousel, talk to the teacher in the one-room schoolhouse, watch a silent black & white movie, chat to the clerk at the General Store and more! Free entrance too! More details HERE.
- Science World / Telus World Of Science.
We have a membership and love the TELUS World of Science. So many fun exhibits and hands-on interactive displays for little ones. They also have a full Spring Break schedule with some pretty fun events. See full details HERE. Then after you are done playing inside you can go for a walk by the seawall and enjoy the beautiful waterfront views.
We love visiting the Vancouver Aquarium, an instant hit with little ones. So many beautiful fish and aquatic mammals! The outdoor dolphin show is wonderful and especially fun when it is sunny and lovely outside. Some of our favourite areas are the Amazon Gallery and dolphin underwater viewing area. There is even a nursing area located in the dolphin underwater viewing area if you are visiting with your infant! Check out their Spring Break event schedule HERE.
Arrive by car, bus, bike or aqua bus! A little island right under the Granville Bridge. The Kids Market is one of our favourites, a fun, colourful building with a nice play area, tons of little toy shops featuring eco-friendly and educational toys and some local gems. At the end of the day, you can walk over to the Public Market and get some yummy food! Fun!
Hop on the Stanley Park Train for an egg-citing Easter ride through Stanley Park through the forest and look for cotton-tailed inhabitants! After the train ride, kids can enjoy fun activities including a bunny burrow maze, professional face painting by the Doodle Girl, an egg hunt in the farmyard, indoor egg hunt for toddlers in the small Barn, meeting the Easter Bunny and more. More details HERE.

Plenty of choice to keep kids happy and occupied during the break.
Lots of fun things to see and do!
We had snow again today and the forecast doesn’t look good either: “Ongoing snow threat in Alberta, shot of arctic air and risk of ‘significant’ snowfall late week.”
Not a pleasant spring break here in Alberta this year it seems.
Weather is warming up, summer is here earlier than expected, lots to do in vancity.
