Father’s Day is coming up soon and I am getting ready to show gratitude to my own father and to show appreciation to my husband for being a dedicated father.
I love shopping for gifts and I put together a list of what I thought would be nice little treats for Dads.
- Personalized Photo Mug: I am sure my dad would love one with a nice family photo. I am thinking a photo of him with my son. You can order those online and get them sent directly to the gift recipient. (My pick this year for my Dad)
- Photo Frames: By my husband’s desk in his office you will find a pack of posters, family photos and albums that need to be framed. He has been meaning to do it but hasn’t had any time. I decided to get it done for him and surprise him by having them framed and mounted on the wall for Father’s Day. I even found some great frames discounts here. (My pick this year for my hubby)
- Iphone/Ipad Case: Nowadays there are so many wonderful design and color choices out there. Fun to pick one for Dad, you can even personalize it with your own photos/text online.
- Beer/Wine, Chocolate or Cheese of the Month Club Membership: They will get a new sampler of the item (pick something they love) every month.
- Desk Organizer: Help him keep his desk organized at work/home with a desk organizer, you can even make one yourself. He will thank you for it!
- Online Movie Streaming Membership: He will be able to watch his favorite shows or movies online. Fun!
- Vintage Tee: There are many online stores that sell affordable vintage tees with tons of designs to choose from. A cool tee is always a great gift.
- Swiss Army Pocket Knife: A bunch of useful tools in one package, should I say more? If he doens’t own one already then this is a great gift.
- A Memory Card for His Camera: He will love having the extra memory when taking photos. Nothing worse than running out of space in your card when you are using your camera.
- Don’t Forget to Add a Handmade Greeting Card: This one is a must for us. I help my son make his own personalized card for his Dad and I always send a handmade card to my Dad. We love making cards and giving and receiving them and they make wonderful keepsakes.
I am excited to get all of my husband’s posters and photos framed at the same time, I am also making some pretty handmade cards for both him and my Dad. I’ll be getting my little one involved in all the fun.Do YOU have any special Father’s Day traditions?

Thanks for the ideas, we just did a professional family photo shoot and I think I’ll be getting hubby a photo cup for his coffee and I’ll frame a few for his man cave, there are some very sweet ones of him with our daughters.
Great picks.

Some great suggestions! My husband is celebrating his first *unofficial* Father’s Day in a few weeks — our baby girl is due in late August — and definitely want to make it special for him. 🙂

June 6-I really like your tips for Father’s Day Gifts. I especially like the photo frame gifts. We often let our pictures sit in a drawer when they should be out giving enjoyment to our loved ones. Thank you for your suggestions. el03ro
Coming from a Dad, I love all of your gift tips and would be happy to receive anyone of them. Really awesome gift ideas because they are things I never think of and I’m sure most Dads don’t either…lol.
I love the cheese of the month club! My husband is a foodie and would love that.
June 7-I think some of my sons-in -law would probably love any of your suggestions for product of the month club. Alas, my husband has heart and diabetic probems so these are out for him . I still think they are great for someone in really good health.-el03ro
Great suggestions. I am going to look for plain vintage tee shirts I found the perfect diy for a racetrack to go onto the back & when dad wears it little ones can run the cars on dad’s back & he gets a massage. (only I could use one too) lol
I posted a link to the tutorial if you’d like to peek at it. 😉
Great ideas! I think I’ll buy him an iPhone case thanks!
The idea of framing family photos is lovely. When you can’t have your family with you all the time, photos are the next best thing!
My favorite gift to give my husband is a first edition book or vintage tees, but I love how you provided lots of personal gift ideas!
Thanks a lot for the list of ideas! I never even thought about getting my dad a Swiss army knife. He’s a real outdoorsy person, so I think it’ll come in handy. Last year I went all out and bought him a Tailgater from Dish, which he uses while camping most. As a matter of fact, last week he had a BBQ in the mountains and he used his Tailgater to show the Rockies game in HD while he grilled outside. I thought it was pretty cool. I took a mini vacation from my job at Dish to hang out with my family, and it was nice seeing him enjoy his Tailgater. I think the Swiss army knife would be good for him since he could use it in the outdoors.
love these ideas Natalie…
great items! i’d love to get a photo frame for my husband

I’ve already picked up a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tee for my husband! He already has so many shirts with logos from old cartoons; I think he’ll be thrilled to add it to his collection. It’s his first Father’s Day… and I’m still looking for something extra special to add to the gift. This post is hugely helpful. Thanks!
