We own and have owned many of the products listed above and we can see exactly why they have been chosen as top 12 “must have” items.

For instance, we purchased the Fisher-Price “My Little Snugabunny Cradle N Swing” a few weeks after our son was born and it was the best purchase we made at the time.  Like most newborns our son loved getting rocked and rocking him in our arms was one of the few things that would calm him down when he was upset.

When he was about one month old he started having issues with painful burps and colic. He was crying a lot more during the day and there were times when we couldn’t do anything to get him to stop. No rocking, nursing, changing positions or anything else would work. Enter the Fisher-Price  “My Little Snugabunny Cradle N Swing”, it worked like magic! The moment we placed him in the swing he was back to his normal self. He was happy watching the birdies flying up on the mobile and gazing at himself in the mirror. Also the soothing music was great for sleep time.

I remember standing there and watching him sleeping peacefully in the swing wondering if anybody thought of making one just like that for adults. Things you think about when you are sleep deprived, ha!

Even though our toddler has grown way beyond the weight limit for the swing we still have it in storage for the next baby.  The Fisher-Price “My Little Snugabunny Cradle N Swing” makes my own personal list of “must have” items for new baby.

Another one of the items from the list that we used and loved is the Fisher-Price “Brilliant Basics Rock a Stack”.  I remember I purchased it for our son when he was close to 6 months.

The safe chunky rings are great for little hands and the bright colours and shiny reflections are engaging and stimulate baby’s senses.  At the beginning he used to play with the rings and base on their own instead of stacking the rings but as he grew older he started imitating when we showed him how to stack them and stacking the rings himself.  I still remember the first time he managed to stack them all in the right order and how happy we were clapping and encouraging him to do it again.

We still have the “Brilliant Basics Rock a Stack” toy and our son still plays with it.  As a toddler he has no issues staking the rings in the right order now so he trying to do it very fast, we take turns and see who can do it the fastest.  Lots of fun!
