I recently had the opportunity to connect with the wonderful people at Barefoot Books and I was honored to review their books. Barefoot Books has been around since 1992 and it started when two moms decided to join forces and make a difference sharing great children’s literature. They wanted to share beautiful, creative and colorful books that would spark children curiosity and instill respect for the planet and the environment. Very inspirational!

I received a hand-picked selection of their books and I must say they are all very colorful, engaging and creative. My son really enjoyed his bed time stories and I was pleased to read them to him. I loved the spanish/english billingual book because it is a very easy to follow and a fun introduction to reading in a new language.
I really like that they have free digital content that includes storytime podcasts and animated videos featuring characters from their books. They also have videos on Youtube and Itunes.
Barefoot Books also has an ambassador program that is very popular among many parents as a way to earn extra income or to fundraise for their child’s school by selling their wonderful books. Sharing great children’s literature always gets thumbs up from me!
Barefoot Books has generously offered to give one of their books to a family anywhere in the U.S.

I try to instill in my children a love of reading from a very young age. I even have a friend in Portugal who writes children’s books and draws illustrations for them.
