Today I am excited to introduce you to Party Animals, a one-of-a-kind plush animal and speaker system that allows you to easily hook up an audio device (iPhone, MP3 player, laptop and more) to a plush toy via an audio input (cord included). The animals will recognize the beat of the music you play and will adjust their speed and rhythm to dance along the music.
We received little Spike to try out and I have to say that he is really adorable, once he comes to life and starts dancing he is a lot of fun to watch.
After plugging in my iPhone Spike was dancing for us and playing our music. Here is a little video I captured of the first time my 2-year-old saw it in action (he loved it!):
I like that you can control the volume of the music that is playing on your own device and you can easily shuffle through your library to play other songs.
Each Party Animal has a battery compartment in the back with a velcro closure and an on/off switch.
If you want to give your Party Animal a break from all the dancing you can simply squeeze his paw to switch the dance mode off. I like that when you switch it off it just becomes a regular speaker. The speaker has o.k. sound quality and it is quite powerful.
It’s worth mentioning that a portion of the profits for each Party Animal sold go to benefit three animal related organizations (PETA, PAWS Chicago, and The Anti-Cruelty Society) which support the adoption of homeless cats and dogs.
Party animals would make a wonderful gift for children 6+ and even adults. I can see people wanting to keep these funny little Party Animals on their desks at work.
Visit www.dancingpartyanimals.com for more information. You can purchase your own Party Animal now at Walgreen’s ($24.95) and at www.amazon.com.

So adorable!
That is soooooo cute! I seriously want one.
Haha….cute and funny!
So cute! And since some of the money goes to a good cause…I think I need one of these.
Love these! Great gift idea.
LOL, too funny!
this made me smile!
what a cute dog .. maybe i should get this instead of a real puppy 🙂
Very cute! Loved your son’s reaction too, lol. These sort of remind me of those dancing flowers, but better since it’s a speaker.
I love it! So cute.
Um you said he loved it the FIRST time that he interacted with it, was his reaction less enthusiastic on subsequent occasions? Did it get old fast? Did it encourage him to dance along? I think this would be an interesting addition to someone’s collection of speaker gadgets, but don’t think it’s for me. I don’t have kids in my household. Thanks for the information though!
He loves it every single time we plug it in to dance. It’s very funny and he likes music so watching the doggy “dancing” is a lot of fun for him.
He claps and dances along depending on the music that is playing. 🙂
Oh goodness, I think my son (9) would have a great time using this to entertain my 2 yr old – very cute
Aww. I want one! I like that they give proceeds to great animal charities. This would be great for my youngest nephew.
