My body has changed a lot after having my two babies and as I get older. My skin isn’t as toned and tight as it once was and there are stretch marks on my tummy and tights. Change is a reality of life, however, by exercising daily, eating a balanced diet and taking care of my skin I am nourishing my body and mind and getting some necessary ME time into my daily routine.
Below I am sharing more about my daily self-care routine and what I do to take care of my body.
EXERCISE: I try to fit at least 15-20 minutes of exercise into my days and I stay active with the boys. We play tennis, go hiking, and avoid driving to nearby places and walk instead when possible.
DIET: I don’t follow any specific diets as I don’t like depriving myself, however, I try to keep my meals balanced with lots of veggies and a good daily portion of fruits as well. Green smoothies are my favourite way to get mine and the boys’ veggies in for the day.
SKIN CARE: For my skin, I use sunscreen every morning and stay away from the mid-day sun as much as possible. I have also started using the new NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Oil daily. This body oil provides firmer-feeling skin in 2 weeks, while evening skin tone and visibly reducing the look of stretch marks. I have been applying it on my tummy and thighs and I love that my skin feels soft and moisturized and the oil absorbs quickly without leaving my skin feeling oily. The New NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Oil is infused with Avocado Oil and it is suitable for all skin times.
I love my new mom body and I appreciate the changes because they remind me how strong and amazing my body is to have made and nourished two perfect little people. By exercising, eating healthy foods and taking care of my skin daily I am keeping my body healthy and I am more and more comfortable in my own skin.
How do you take care of your body? Do you have a self-care/beauty routine?

I do like Nivea products and this sounds like another good one. My brother used to swear by Nivea cream.
I’ve been hearing great things about this new nivea product. I will be on the look out for it next time I’m shopping.
I pretty much got my body back after I had my children. Being a single, young and “always on the go” mom, never had the chance to do anything else. I did like my lotions and would get samples at the store (This is in late 70′, early 80’s before Computers took over the world…lol) Nivea was a brand that my mom liked, as she always seemed to have the “red hand” look, growing up, she would teach me that I didn’t need half the jar for my hands, just a couple of drops, would do. Now that I am about to hit 60, my body went somewhere else..(dunno where, maybe under the bed..lol??) but I still use Nivea and I am glad that somethings have only gotten better in time. 🙂
Thanks for the great info on this amazing product.I am happy to hear that the New NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Oil which is infused with Avocado Oil and it is suitable for all skin times is available.I need this and will be shopping for it.
Honestly I don’t move enough, and I should but as soon as I start to do something the pain in my back gets so bad I have to stop!
