We all want to have beautiful, healthy, shiny and luscious locks! Our hair can say so much about us and about how we take care of ourselves. But it is not just about beauty; hair can also show how healthy you actually are. Stick around for some tips on how to be able to grow your hair and keep it healthy and soft! These simple tips can also be applied to your entire family.
Healthy Diet: Let’s start with the basics. Eat a healthy diet with lots of greens, fruits, grains and protein. Avoid processed unhealthy food and watch your hair grow! Take care of your body by eating good foods and see how your skin and hair transform! You really have to take care of your body first to see real results; healthy food and vitamins are crucial to healthy hair growth.
Get Regular Trims: Yes friends, if you want to have long beautiful hair, you have to get regular trims to get rid of split ends. Split ends cause your hair to break off so getting rid of them is key. I schedule haircuts for the whole family every couple of months!
Use A Good Shampoo and Conditioner: Look for products that are Paraben Free, that contains Natural Extracts and use gentle sulfates I highlight my hair every few months and the chemicals can dry out my hair. Using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is a must for me and I am really loving the results! My hair is silky and shiny and super soft to the touch without any weight-down.
Don’t Over Brush: I know it can be hard if you are used to brushing multiple times a day but try not to brush too much. Brushing can cause split ends and breakage! I brush my hair and my children’s hair once a day with a wide-tooth comb instead of a brush!
Don’t Wash your Hair Every Day: Dry-shampoo is your best friend! Skip a day or two to allow natural oils to coat your hair! I wash my hair every couple of days and I wash my children’s hair every other day. I noticed a big difference when switching to every couple of days instead of daily!
Air-Dry Your Hair When Possible: My hair is wavy and I flat iron it so I know air-drying can be difficult for some people, however I try to air-dry my hair at least once a week to give it a break from the damaging heat of the flat iron. If you use a blow dryer, flat iron or curling iron, make sure you take breaks and let your hair dry naturally once in a while!

Thank you so much for all of the tips~ I have to get some of those Garnier products next time we go shopping!
Not washing your hair so often and air drying are so essential; I think we overdo these two things in North America. Thank you for the Garnier Whole Blends lines, I have heard about them and will have to pick up a couple bottles to try.
I’ve never seen these products before, but I’m going to have to see if I can find them!
I received the Honey one, tried it and i love it
I love switching up my shampoos. I will have to try the Avocado & Shea Butter one.
You look awesome!
I love avocado! I’m glad you enjoyed using this product. I really need a great hair care combo that will keep my hair moisturized, especially during the winter. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I have been hearing many good things about these hair products and I can not wait to try them out. The one with coconut milk has really caught my eye.
I’ve not actually seen the Garnier Whole Blends line of products yet but I have read quite a bit about them on various blogs. I don’t wash my hair every day but I do use a hairdryer mostly when it’s been washed, still that’s only about twice a week and it only takes 5 mins to dry my hair.
I ordered a sample from their website and I can’t wait to try it!
Great tips. I tried the honey and the apple ones, I love both of them. Especially the honey, which feels really luxurious
I have the Honey and i love it the more you use it the softer it makes my hair….it also smells fantastic
You hair looks great. I agree with the not washing every day. My hair does better when I don’t wash each day. I will try these products.
These products sound amazing. You really do have gorgeous hair.
I air dry my hair whenever possible, it helps cut down on the frizz
I really like your tips on helping your whole family have soft, silky hair. I know that healthy food really affects hair just as it affects the rest of the body.
I know surgery, for example, may lead to more hair loss than usual. It makes sense that washing hair every day will rob it of its natural oils. Thank you for these sensible reminders.
I would definitely be interested in trying these products for my hair! I like that silky smooth feeling 🙂
