After getting sick with cold after cold last October, I found my hair was falling off in chunks; I’ve had so much shedding. My hair has also become thinner as I reach my 40s, and many hormonal changes occur. I can now see some noticeable thinning in my hairline area.
Enter VEGAMOUR’s Gro+ Advanced product line. This new line of products offers a plant-based solution to thinning hair, co-developed by dermatologists to help those with severe hair shedding. I decided to test these products and share my experience.

GRO+ Advanced Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner Kit
Both these products are powered by their patent-pending GROActive+ Complex™, a plant-based compound that helps reduce shedding and visibly improve hair density. This skincare-inspired duo is formulated with Niacinamide and Spanish Microalgae to promote a balanced scalp.
You start by washing your hair with the GRO+ Advanced Balancing Shampoo to gently exfoliate the scalp and remove buildup from fragile, thinning strands. Then, follow with the GRO+ Advanced Balancing Conditioner. Formulated without silicones, this conditioner contains marula oil to leave hair with hydration, shine, and increased manageability.
I love that this shampoo and conditioner hair care routine helps exfoliate my scamp to remove buildup while keeping it hydrated. I noticed a big difference in how nourished my hair was, from root to ends. The scent is also divine!
GRO+ Advanced Hair Serum
This hair serum is also powered by their GROActive+ Complex™. It features an AI-selected blend of antioxidant-rich Rhapontic Rhubarb Root and Japanese BeautyBerry Extract, which work synergistically to help improve hair density.
I have been applying it daily and love that it contains Spanish Microalgae, a prebiotic superfood that hydrates to rebalance the scalp environment. Plant stem cells help anchor hair follicles from the root, empowering thinning hair to thrive again. How cool is that?!
So far, after using this product, I have seen some reduced shedding, and I can see lots of new baby hairs coming into my hairline and in the patches that had thinning hair.
I love this product; it is non-greasy, and you can apply it to wet or dry hair.

After using the VEGAMOUR Gro+ Advanced Shampoo and Conditioner and the VEGAMOUR Gro+ Advanced Hair Serum for about six washes, I noticed a subtle improvement in my hair’s thickness and overall health. My hair felt stronger and looked shinier, and I experienced less breakage during styling. I also noticed that my scalp was less irritated, and my hair seemed to shed much less.
Something else I love is all the volume. I am obsessed with how much volume this hair care line gives me. My hair feels full, and luscious, and it looks so shiny!
We also just returned from holidays in Colombia and Costa Rica, which exposed my hair to extra sun and chlorine, so it is dry and needs some additional help, as you can see in this BEFORE photo:
