Last year Worx Toys lunched their new EDUTECH brand, a line of exclusive touch toy vehicles targeted to children ages 3+. EDUTECH’s toy vehicles have been designed to teach children the ins and outs of their favourite vehicles, including trucks, race cars, helicopters and more.
This year EDUTECH has added two new toys to their line, the Throttle Motorcycle and the iconic Journey Space Shuttle. We received the Throttle Motorcycle to review and my son loves how unique and different this toy is. Unlike other toy vehicles he owns, the Throttle Motorcycle is interactive and the vehicle comes to life with real lights and sounds when specific coded buttons are pressed.
The motorcycle comes with an interactive storybook that has all the codes and a lot of information on how the vehicle works, the book has lots of graphics and at the end it even has a Certificate of Completion for becoming an expert at understanding motorcycles, safety and the rules of the road.
I like that this toy encourages the parent or caregiver to read and play together with the child. I love reading the fun story in the book and then pressing the buttons to show my son how it all happens. I also give him instructions for him to press the buttons and see it happening himself. Learning through play is truly the best way to learn.
The Throttle Motorcycle has a transparent exterior that allows you to see the working parts inside of it. A wonderful opportunity for children to learn about them while they play. The Motorcycle has a transmission, exhaust, controls, suspension, brakes and turn signals.

to learn by playing also means that it ‘sticks’ better I find. It also teaches them to experiment, to watch carefully to see what happens so they learn to concentrate too. A very nice toy indeed.
