A few months ago, I was given the opportunity to try out Pillow Pals and to be honest, I immediately thought I was trying out the fun, furry Pillow Pets, but to my surprise, Pillow Pals is so much different.
You see, Pillow Pals takes your child’s artwork and turns it into a cute little Pillow Pal that looks completely like the artwork. For example, if your child draws a cute little rainbow, Pillow Pals would take that artwork and create a rainbow pillow that looks exactly like the picture your child drew.
When it was time for me to take a piece of artwork and send in, I immediately took my niece’s cute fish picture, that she drew, and sent it in. I wanted it to be a surprise, so I never told her about it, so when the pillow came just in time for Christmas, I was so excited to see her reaction that I recorded her.
As you can hear in the video, my niece had NO idea what the fish was or why I gave her a pillow-shaped fish. Although, I thought of editing that part out, I honestly thought it took away the authenticity of her “real” reaction to the Pillow Pal, so I decided to leave that part in. Even though, my niece was confused at first, once I sat her down and explained the picture she drew to the actual pillow, she was more than excited, as you can see in the picture below.
Through the months that I have been in contact with Pillow Pals, I have been super impressed with their dedication to me and their constant updating. Unlike most places, I didn’t feel like just another blogger, but actually more like a friend.
When the Pillow Pal arrived at my door, the folks at Pillow Pals even took time to wrap a box in pretty nice paper, so I could skip the extra step of wrapping the gift myself. The Pillow Pal doesn’t feel like a cheap pillow and actually seems like it is made to last a long time. After talking to my sister, I found out my niece hasn’t actually used the pillow as a pillow, but instead has been bragging it up to all her friends – who seem more than jealous. Overall, I imagine within a few years, when my niece grows up, she will always have a nice momentum from her childhood to hold on to.
Pillow Pals has a really great Etsy shop, which can be found here, so you can check out all their designs and order one for the special person in your life.
