Why do kids hate having their hands and faces cleaned? You would think it would be uncomfortable and somewhat unpleasant to have gunk stuck to your hands and face all the time. Yet, trying to get a toddler clean in the bath can resemble trying to wrestle an elephant in a tub of Jello.
SoapSox has come up with an incredibly clever way to make bath time more fun while getting the kids clean at the same time. The SoapSox line of stuffies for the bath are award winning (JPMA Innovation Award 2014) and have even made an appearance on the T.V show SharkTank. Each Soapsox is made from a soft terry cloth material and contain an anti-microbial sponge inside. All you have to do is add some liquid soap (my preference) to the stuffie’s mouth or rub some bar soap and wet it. Once wet, the soap suds up and it can be used to clean your kiddo.
We were sent the Ava the dolphin to test out and I was pleased that she was a decent size (bigger cleaning surface means faster cleaning!) and I absolutely love that she is fully machine washable and dryer friendly. We used her a few times and were able to just hang her to dry in the tub, but I’ll toss her in the wash every few baths just to make sure she is super clean.
The baby thought it was interesting having a stuffie in the bath tub and wasn’t 100% sure what to make of her at first, but she warmed up pretty quickly and I think she will love having her as she gets older and doesn’t want me wiping her face with a cloth. My son on the other hand thought she was awesome and was pretending it was a shark eating up all the bath toys for a good 15 minutes. There aren’t too many bath toys that appeal to both a 1 year old and an almost 7 year old, that’s for sure!
SoapSox retail for $14.95 USD and are available online and at select bricks and mortar retailers such as Nordstrom and Bed Bath & Beyond. If you have a little one who is bored with their bath toys or you are looking to make wash time a little more fun check out SoapSox for an affordable option that will make your life easier as well.

I love these Soapbox Stuffies for Bath time. I wish they had been available when my children were small. I think any child would absolutely love these stuffies and even allow these to be used on their faces. I remember how much my little grandchildren hated having their faces and hands washed.
These are so adorable and I’m sure every child would love to have one, so much more fun using these. 🙂
