Today I am showing you a super easy Movie Date Night at Home DIY to make your next movie night a little bit more special with some cute personalized bowls using your Cricut machine.

Movie Date Night is one of my favourites, and my husband and I try to make time for at least one Movie Date Night a week. We get some of our favourite snacks and cuddle on the couch to enjoy some time together watching a movie.

Our weekly Movie Date Nights are something I look forward to the most, and we always take turns picking the movie of the week. One positive is that we have the same taste for movies, so that makes it a lot easy to pick something we both will enjoy.

I recently decided to personalize the snack bowls we use every week, and they look so great! I used my Cricut Joy, but you can use any of their machines. It took me just a few minutes, and all you need is permanent vinyl (colour of choice).

You can personalize them with her/his name, or just the way I did it, with HIS/HERS/OURS. 

If you want to get extra creative, you can personalize some mugs, wine glasses, or drinking cups. You can also do so with other large serving bowls. So many options!

Materials

• Vinyl, Black - White - colour of choice
• Cricut Transfer Tape
• Bowls

Tools

• Cricut Joy
• Weeder
• Scraper

Instructions

1. Create a project on Cricut Design. Select TEXT, pick your favourite font, and add your words. I used HIS/HERS/OURS.
2. Measure your surface to match the size of your bowls and adjust accordinly.
3. Cut the words on vinyl (follow the prompts on the screen).
4. Use a Weeder tool to remove all the negative pieces of the vinyl.
5. Use transfer tape and the scraper tool to apply the vinyl cuts to the bowls.
6. Serve some snacks on the bowls and enjoy movie night!

You can pick the colour of your vinyl. I recommend using Permanent vinyl if you are washing the bowls all the time, or putting them in the dishwasher, to make sure the vinyl stays on!

Find the font you would like, measure to make sure it is the right size to fit the bowl, and you are ready to cut!

Use transfer tape to get the words onto the bowls easily. It is so easy, you guys, perfect application each time, you don’t need to be an expert, I promise!

And you are DONE!

Easy right? Now get your favourite snacks out, fill the bowls, sit down on the couch, and ENJOY the movie!
