Working on simplifying your life can really help you reduce stress and enjoy more of the little things. According to recent research by Schick Intuition, the happiest mothers in Canada take active steps to simplify their lives.
750 moms across Canada were used to create the Schick Intuition Simplicity Curve below which shows a direct correlation between happiness and simplicity. The curve helps illustrate that happiness spikes when mothers take deliberate steps to make life more manageable, and embrace a philosophy of “voluntary simplicity.” In fact, the more moms say they embrace the “voluntary simplicity” lifestyle, the happier they are.
As a busy mom of two little boys I really like the idea of simplifying and avoiding unwanted stress. For example, I love when we spend time decluttering the house and getting rid of stuff we don’t need. Donating big bags filled with things we don’t need anymore always makes me happy.
Keeping on top of my e-mails and organizing our schedule with a calendar system that works for us also keep my routine running smoothly and as stress-free as possible. I can also plan my time wisely and get extra family time to spend with my two boys doing fun stuff.
Something else that makes my life easier is finding products or services designed to help simplify every day tasks. Saving precious time results in a happier me. For example, using the Schick Intuition three-in-one razor when I shower so I don’t need to prep, shave and moisturize helps simplify my life. I can finish my shower faster and get a couple of extra minutes to check my e-mail or drink my coffee while it is still hot.
What little things do you do to help you simplify your life? I would love to hear your own stories!

Great read thanks for sharing all the tips to simplify your life , we all be things to be easy and simple 🙂
I moved out of the city lol. Stress, Is, Gone lol
Great tip. Yes simplifying is truly helpful when dealing with stress!
I love decluttering, I never thought of it as simplifying my life, though, but it does feel refreshing, that is until I start feeling pangs about a few things I gave away! I prefer a simpler life, for a while it got complicated and I was in too many activities and I was exhausted, too. Less is more!
I’m lucky, I’m really quite a relaxed sort of person even when there’s a lot going on. I just take things calmly and it all works out. It’s very, very seldom that I get stressed out.
I try to keep myself relaxed by playing more with my children and not worrying so much about all the things that need done.
I am all about the simplicity
This was a good read, and we all feel better after we declutter, we all need to smile more and worry less!!
Simple is definitely better! Sounds like an awesome razor.
I need to simplify my life, seems so busy and chaotic lately!
I find that decluttering more often really simplifies my life more than almost anything else when it comes to housekeeping. I find it difficult at times to decide what to get rid off and what to keep. I do not get discouraged. If I bake, I try to do it on one day only and that is really all I try to accomplish. . That makes for less stress as well. I am trying to limit my visits to the grocery store to save time and money. That is difficult to do as well when we live so close to several stores.
I think I am doing better at decluttering. I look in the frig and freezer before I shop. I have known for ages that I only need so many outfits to wear and try to stick to simplicity in that. Your tips are very helpful.
I love reading this post often, as you may have noticed. Just the act of reading it helps me destress, especially at this time of year. It gives me motivation to live more simply which is important to me.
