As a work-at-home mom, I’ve learned the art of having to juggle my toddler while juggling deadlines- and still managing to get household chores and errands done during the week, too. My secret to keeping it all together? The well-oiled mobile machine that is my smartphone (specifically, my iPhone).

Even more to a point, here are my picks for the 10 helpful mobile apps that keep me organized and on top of it all throughout the day.

1. SmartMom

Need a quick parenting question answered fast? SmartMom is it! This free app allows you to join a robust community of moms. Ask your questions and get answers quick. The more you answer, the more stars you rack up. More stars equal more chances to win in each monthly giveaway drawing for some great prize, such as gift cards or baby gear. Get it here the App Store.

2. AnyList

This free app allows you to make a variety of lists that you can share with anyone who also has the AnyList app. My husband and I both use it and it’s great for grocery lists, especially if he realizes I’ve forgotten to put something on my shopping list: he just adds it in our shared grocery list and it’s there waiting for me when I get to the store. While the app is free, AnyList also offers a premium upgrade that allows you to manage your lists online. Get it here in the App Store.

3. KeyRing

Say goodbye to your bulky key ring with a million store discount cards and say hello to KeyRing! This virtual wallet store bar codes, membership numbers and even photos of your store loyalty cards so you’ll never have to fumble through your wallet again in the checkout line. Get it here in Google Play and here in the App Store.

4. Amazon Mobile

If you’re not an Amazon Mom or Amazon Prime member, I highly recommend it. With 16 cities now offering same-day delivery, Amazon has been out “oh crap, we’re our of diapers” lifesaver. For a monthly or annual membership fee, Amazon Prime allows you to receive millions of household and other items with free two-day shipping and an upgrade to overnight for only $5. This app is also our lifesaver for last-minute gift-giving and holiday shopping. Get it here in Google Play and here in the App Store.

5. zulily

I’m a little obsessed with this flash sale site. With deals for women, kids, men and home, I can always find some near finds for the family at awesome prices. Granted, the deep discounts come at a price: you often have to wait as long as 2-3 weeks to receive your items. That said, some of zulily’s best deals are on holiday weekends. It’s free to sign up; you just need to register your email address. Get it here in Google Play and here in the App Store.

6. Endless ABC

This is, by far, my son’s favorite app! Choose from a wide range of inspiring vocabulary (from “artistic” to “zigzag”) as monsters run through each word, mixing up the letters. It’s up to little learners to put the letters back where they belong. Another great app perfect for distractions that gets your little one learning, too! Get it here in Google Play and here in the App Store.

7. Sago Mini Forest Flyer

By popular children’s app developer Sago, this app features two endless scrolling worlds where kids can tap to interact with their environments in a spring and winter forest scape. It’s great for long lines or fussy diaper changes when I just need to keep my toddler distracted for a few minutes. They also have a Sago Mini Ocean Swimmer app as well. Get it here in the App Store.

8. Hyperlapse

While there are a ton of social video sharing apps, none quite match the timelapse-inspired fun of Hyperlapse. Turn ordinary moments into sped-up, gorgeously stabilized time lapse videos. With each video, you create a truly one of a kind video of your daily adventures with your own little one! Get it here in the App Store.

9. Picturelife

This is by far the priciest app of the bunch simply because you’ll need a storage plan to go with it. That said, Picturelife is our default long-term photo and video storage backup solution. It backs up photos from your phone and computer, however you choose. Since I take a million pictures of our son, this was a perfect way to keep them all backed up. You can also use Picturelife’s powerful search tools and even get sent “Memories” of photos taken that same day years before. Picturelife is a smart investment for anyone looking for a reliable way to back up their photos without really having to think about it. Storage plan pricing and app download available from Picturelife.com.

10. Yelp

This popular restaurant review app has come in handy plenty of times we’ve been out on a day trip with out toddler and we need to stop for a quick bite to eat on the road – besides the all-too-easy (and unhealthy) fast food run. In just a couple of clicks, I can find all sorts of places to eat and check out within a set price range, distance and cuisine type – and more importantly, if it’s a kid-friendly establishment.
Get it here in Google Play and here in the App Store.
