This last weekend we went hiking as a family again and spent some time enjoying the calm and beautiful Rice Lake, located on the edge of the Lynn Headwaters Regional Park in North Vancouver. The lake is full of life and natural beauty, including some adorable ducklings we had the chance to spot.
The trail circles around the lake and features amazingly tall trees and moss-covered forest rocks and it has some pretty nice viewpoints with benches where you can sit and relax and enjoy the view and sounds. A great place for bird watchers and also great for fishing.

Beautiful pictures! Looks like a wonderful day out… I used take the boys out all the time when they were super-little and I found that their love for nature came automatically; they still love being outdoors as teens.
