Our multi-generational family vacation at Catalonia Yucatan Beach in Puerto Aventuras was a delightful experience that catered to all ages, from great-grandma to the youngest babies and toddlers in our group. The resort’s family-friendly amenities, diverse dining options, and engaging activities made it an ideal destination for our large group.

Family-Friendly Accommodations

The resort offers spacious rooms designed to accommodate families comfortably. Each room features a balcony or terrace, providing lovely views and a place to relax. The thoughtful room layouts ensured that everyone, from couples to families with children, had a comfortable stay.

Beach and Water Activities

The beach at Catalonia Yucatan Beach was a highlight of our trip. We discovered an area with crystal-clear water teeming with fish, offering a safe and enjoyable spot for the children to swim and explore marine life. The sandy shores provided ample space for building sandcastles and beach games. Additionally, the resort offers complimentary non-motorized water sports, including kayaking, which our family eagerly took advantage of.

Certain areas of the beach are rocky, making water entry challenging, so I do recommend bringing water shoes to navigate these sections comfortably.

Pools and Entertainment

The resort boasts multiple swimming pools, including areas with shallow water perfect for young children to play safely. The kids delighted in the pool parties featuring music and the foam pool parties, creating joyful memories for the older children. For adults seeking relaxation, there are serene pool areas with comfortable loungers and poolside service.

Dining Options

With a large family group, securing reservations at the à la carte restaurants proved challenging. However, the buffet restaurants, La Brisa and El Mercado, offered a wide array of international and Mexican cuisine that satisfied everyone’s tastes. We mostly ate at the buffet restaurants. The themed dinners added variety to our dining experiences, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations.

Adults enjoyed the spa services, fitness center, and evening entertainment, ensuring that everyone had something enjoyable to partake in throughout the day.

Catalonia Yucatan Beach in Puerto Aventuras proved to be an excellent choice for our multi-generational family vacation. The combination of beautiful beaches, family-friendly pools, diverse dining options, and lots of fun activities ensured that every family member, regardless of age, had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
